That could be pretty cool actually, would give people something to go talk about etc, instead of focusing on the drama mainly .  Also, phil said he can live stream some matches if jehar isn't around, just stream, not shoutcast as long as both teams are ok with it, so most matches could hopefully be streamed which will be pretty cool.  Takes care of the whole 'no specs allowed' thing, since phil is a co-admin anyway, he can be trusted and is in good standing with most of everyone in the community and everyone loves him, so there shouldn't be any issues.  Again, both teams would have to agree first on it anyway, so there's no bs

And one last post before I hit the hay, everyone check http://www.challonge.com/ra2draft  , it's been updated slightly since random isn't going to be available this week for a match, his team was switch with hops/bluemeanies/focolars team so that they get a bye for this week.  Also, c0re's team is now up against blend0r's.

Also, please guys, if you aren't on irc already, please just start getting on even if it's for a few hours.  If you need a link for a free version, I can PM you the link.  It will make it MUCH easier for your team and the other team to get together and to find an admin for your match! 


And at this point, matches are now LIVE!  (I'm posting this at 1am on Monday) so matches can start to be played guys!  Get with your team/the other team and get em goin!  And now that matches are now live, there are not going to be anymore changes made to the draft in anyway.  If someone is going to be out of town for awhile, we might not be able to find a sub at this point so you may receive a FF.  We're trying to do what we can to keep this thing movin on forward, but you guys signed up for this thing, PLEASE show some respect and hold up YOUR end PLEASE.  We put a lot of time into this and have received a lot of headaches throughout it, so please make this thing be seen to the end and go smoothly so we can do more.  The next one will be done much differently than this one was because if we go through what we did this draft for the next one, I can promise you there won't be anymore and the 2nd one could be dropped.  I'd like to thank Erica for being able to put the drama aside and still see this thing through, even though people have bashed her pretty hard, she is still here trying to do something great for the community AND ra2!  So hopefully everyone else appreciates her as much as I do for making this all possible!  And I can't wait to see some of these matches on stream   RA2 matches in 2014!  haha, never thought I'd see the day.  But done with the novel, lets get this thing rollin and lets not stop it

What a fucking mess. I dont even understand why a "randomizer" was even used. With the exception of 2 or 3 players, EVERYBODY knows where everyone stands in skill level, making manual teams or necessary adjustments shouldn't be rocket science.

taking into consideration the above ^^  Hold the phone, Not too sure about that there guy. i'm sure many people have different opinions of who is "more skilled" than who in a specific mod, or generally.  However i'm confident our current  team will be able to take top spot or top 3, considering Ex doesn't go afk for half the match Lol.

Oh yea, So, Since surprisingly enough nobody asked about the big elephant in the room and it has slipped my mind from being at work all week. is everyone going to record demos or not? this isn't a edge duel thing but i think i'll just record anyways if there is a place to upload in this thread or that site. so there are no disputes

i just noticed on QSB there is a NY rocket arena server hosted by none other than wallfly.  it would probably be advantageous for a home/away setup, since most regular players are west here and most of the acme new signups are somewhat eastern.

if you read the site rules youd see that demos are required.



- Team size will be 3’s (atleast for the first go around)
- Games with be Bo3 and the final games will be Bo5
- Competive mode
- Rounds should be set to 9, armor damage on and falling damage on.
- An admin has to be present for games.
- A demo of each game is required, and are to be ready if asked to send them. (admins present should take screenshots of each match. (Reason: anticheat won't be forced on servers, due to its stopped development for new clients and operating systems.)
- Failure to provide demos upon request will result in an automatic FF.
- Map List is still to be determined, should be posted in a few days.
- Games should be played in a timely manner, and be fair for both teams.
- Server will be tx based as it is a central point for the US.
- Mumble is not required for games, but is encouraged as it is good for communication.


So yes they are required, id recommend sending demos to this email tastyra2demos@gmail.com

Imo, targe's assessment was the most i'd agree with concerning 3v3 and the pool of players signed up.

We will try to find a suitable replacement for you, but if you know of someone who wants to play, let me know so I can discuss it with the other admins.  Alex wasn't going to be that good, and was you're lowest tier player so we'd have to find someone similar to replace him without obviously stacking your team.  We may just have to throw vamp on your team  jkk, get with me asap and let me know if you have someone in mind before we can find you a replacement.
