I really don't think Target or even Golgo are trying to knock the event for what it is. If people have a problem with their place, or even the event in general, they shouldn't be afraid of getting flamed for voicing what they think about it, even if it's negative. Especially if it wasn't their intent to try to take anything away from all the effort all of the admins, or even the other players effort put into it, which I don't think was anyone's intent in the first place.
I don't know, I just have a serious problem with that. Pretty much all of the drama that came from this event hasn't been constructive in the slightest, so I'd like to see it settled. It's gay.

You all should be able to say what's on your mind without being misunderstood (or come off like you're trying to insult someone).

I tried to connect to ETG through two different IRC clients the other night before giving up in frustration. I didn't realize others were having the same issues and I have not had time to try the suggestions in the chat box.

Try /server 8.225.195.155:6667, it's always worked for me.

Maybe I completely understood how teams were setup, but it seems to me that you were put as the 3rd pick on your team. I personally don't think you are 3rd tier as you have out pointed me on many maps. I assumed the first person on each team was 1st pick, second 2nd, third 3rd. Correct me if I am wrong.

Target, I've been I think pretty nice to you considering how well we get along and have answered your questions without trying to be a dick or anything of the sort like I normally have done in the past.  We had to replace your MIA guy with someone around his same skill set, otherwise if we said OK to Reefer(who is prolly 10x the player Alex woulda been), it wouldn't have been a fair trade off and we could get accused YET again of stacking teams.  I mean, look who I got put with at the end of this thing...anyone on TS knows me and golgo's history together, and I haven't complained ONE bit about being on his team or anything of the sort.  I want to move past our old crap and just have fun.  This draft obviously wasn't the best, but it got things rolling and that's what we were after mainly. 

And to answer your one post, it's not fair for you to have to train someone, but Legacy I'm sure is going to do just fine for you.  And we didn't turn anyone down who wanted to join, we have a couple newer players join etc.  I mean phil/fader have ava who has played but 3-4 maps of ra2? just like Legacy, so they are in the same boat.  Just please get through this one and I promise the next one will be better.  We've learned a great deal from this and the headaches it's brought. 

Also, there were a few people that had to be moved around on the tier list to make for even teams.  Some 2's got knocked down to 3 or up to 1, it wasn't the best system, but it was the easiest for the time being and the fastest to get things rolling.  A 3-tier system I doubt will ever be used again.  So don't take offense to things and don't act like we thought less of you or anything.  We were trying to be as FAIR as possible and make as even as teams as possible.

The fairest option possible is fully randomized teams and yet half of the players would drop out the second you posted them.

Noticed an appreciated. I agree with what Fadar said in my regards above --> I am not trying to attack anyone, I am just trying to get answers to some questions. I feel as the first pick that makes me a captain (of sorts) and I should have some right to ask questions about my team with harassment. I feel that I too have been civl in this regards.

I am a bit frustrated as I see myself as one of the worst captains and I am given a new player as a 3rd. I mean, with the randomized teams, sure, I had shitty luck of the draw. But I figured since we were replacing a player, why not give me a decent one.

Either way, I don't know which maps are which number so I will just have to rely heavily on random to sort the matches out for us. I will try to get on ETG and speak to Legacy.

Good stuff Barton...there's prolly going to be a good chance that we will need you at some point as a sub or possibly a full time player with the way people are dropping etc   But ya, a dependable sub is something we'd like to have so thanks bud

So it's now 2d sooint and kickro, looking to play Friday night (like originally planned) around 1030-11pm EST, 2d and I already kinda agreed on that hope kickro can make it, because I have to have a 2nd game played by Sunday which will be the day I'll play that one. I'll check here and irc when I get home tomorrow and try to pan some details out before I leave, got stuff planned which I'll have to cut short to come play later Friday night (so dedicated zomg).

p.s this is the last night to play this match, so better be there

I'm not the same tier so it's in the team's best interest that he takes his original spot if he's gonna play in this.
We have yet to have a match scheduled due to 1 player on each team not being around, while I've been around every damned day idling on 2 computers.

Don't think we're gonna get one played till next week at this rate.
