   HAHAHA!!! Unbelievable that it worked so well. Even fooled the guy operating the camera.

That still don't beat the fake punt play I saw last year. I think it was last year. I think it was NFL too. Can't remember. But the team on offense had been stopped on a 3rd down somewhere near their own goal line. They had 10 men lined up regular max protection punt style, but the 11th man that the defense had completely overlooked was laying chest-down in the grass on the right edge of the end zone. No one ever noticed him laying there or bothered counting the players. They snap the ball, he hops up and sprints down the field, and whoever caught the snap passes it to him completely undefended and wide open and he just jogs it down the field for a touchdown. Just one of those "That's so stupid, I can't believe it worked" kinda plays.

I think the more important questions would be, "Who's doing the draft picking for Oakland?" and "Are they fucking senile?" 4th round? Are you fucking serious? Why would a struggling team like Oakland throw away a 4th rd pick on someone like Tyler Wilson? I mean they already fucked up with Terrelle Pryor. I gotta wonder what qualifies these teams scouts for their jobs. Cuz I honestly think I'd have a better idea of what QB's would be wise choices for NFL offenses, and I've never played football or studied it past what I see on TV or in Madden video games. Draft him as a backup in the 4th rd ain't exactly ALWAYS a dumb move, but drafting him in the 4th rd and then turning around and cutting him is just fucking stupid to do.

We should all do some predictions for this year's football season, both pro and college...

lets say.. the play-off games down to 4 teams for pro, and the top 2-3 in each main d1 conference division.

I'm mostly done with mine, when I post it y'all can just use it as a template or whatever... I'm more familiar with the ncaa than nfl as some of you may have guessed, so college will be more extensive.

Also, how the standings are done, as in some conferences weighted more than others...... I agree with the principle behind this, but they seem to get this wrong on a lot of occasions. It makes me think that it's done subjectively opposed to an actual model a lot of the time... take, #24 USC for example:

I know the bowl game doesn't count with BCS standings(I don't think), but it's certainly a reflection on what I'm talking about(the #3 team of the weaker ACC division destroying them).

Haha, yeah those are the ones that I'm personally interested in also.. why I threw in the 'mostly in regard to how future conference standings'... which really that just applied to the matches you didn't list.

Good predictions Sarge... some of mine are just based off hunches/guesses, it being college football and all. I do have a feeling that either Ohio State or Louisville isn't going to meet the hype, though.

12pm - No. 12 Florida at Miami (FL) - FLA is still searching for offense.  Both teams want to control the game using the run.
It will be a tough grind it out game.  Miami 21-17

12pm - Cincinnati at Illinois - Ill wants to light it up through the air and will make some plays, but not enough to overcome Cincinnati.  Cincinnati 35 - 21

3:30pm - No. 2 Oregon at Virginia - Blowout  Oregon 48-14

3:30pm - San Diego State at No. 3 Ohio State - Second cupcake in a row for Ohio State.  Ohio State 42-14

6pm - Syracuse at No. 19 Northwestern - Northwestern at home wins 24-20

Lol @ WVU barely beating William and Mary. Yeah, that match will be lest err.. indicative than I thought. Those scores are about right--deviations from those typical expectations will be some indicators of the future possibly.

I think you may be giving miami a bit too much credit though(in both standings prediction and score against the gators).. but I guess we'll see whose guess is better come saturday

Good grief, Charlie Brown! I can't make any meaningful predictions until I see the teams/coaches in real contests. Give me a set of dice and I can predict the outcomes just as well right now. What I love about football is that it is a TEAM contest with coaches using "strategery" (brilliant Bushism) against their opponents.

I can say this about the SEC west: Texas A&M is going to be middle of the pack - if that. Alabama and LSU will smoke them like a cheap cigar. Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn and MS St. combined will get one or two wins against them. This year, instead of a leader, the Aggies have a cocky, immature "captain" {correction: he wasn't even elected as one of 12 captains....by his teammates} steering the ship.  Pay attention to how many sacks/hurries come his way. Those big guys up front will make or break his year, depending on their effort. Their effort will be determined by his attitude towards his TEAM. For his sake, I hope his maturity and humility catch up with his ego. 40% chance he makes it through the season. Not hatein', just sayin'.
