fuck it. send the cheater 200 euro and let the poles laugh about it behind your back.

Wouldn't be the first time.

PS: Hasiu's IP is about as close as you will ever see in q2 to being the same as David's.
I've seen legit players' IP change exactly that "little" in a single day many times over.

Find me 2 other players on the anticheat shame site, with IP addresses that similar, WHO AREN'T THE SAME PLAYER.
Then find 2 that are on there, with likewise similar IP, that aren't the same player, and one of whom WASNT CHEATING.

While you're at it, please support your assertion that Hasiu does play now if you're going to shoot down someone else's that he doesn't.

This is fucking quake 2 you are talking about. Yes, it's poland and it's rare that someone owns a computer good enough to play a new game, but seriously? The player pool in this game is miniscule. When you consider that these were both players "good" enough to play in euro league clans, the probability that they are not the same person gets that much lower.

I can do the math with the IP addresses but it wouldn't be worth my time. You probably won't reply and if you do it will be some normanesque nonlogic that skirts the actual issues and puts everything off to some mythical tomorrow when all will supposedly become clear.

Well said once again Welk.   I strongly advise you to leave this topic alone as far as debating it here, you'll find arguing to be a very much futile task and instead end up being insulted rather than debated.   Even if you gave these guys what they want and confirmed David is Haisu and he cheated for nanosecond back then, he obviously has been legit through this whole EDL.  Why would you bother cheating if you can beat the top competitor offered to you without the need for it?

Recordings of the grand final were more than enough to convince me, looking forward to next years EDL.  Hoping to see more epic games!

PS: Hasiu's IP is about as close as you will ever see in q2 to being the same as David's.
I've seen legit players' IP change exactly that "little" in a single day many times over.

I'd be similarly suspicious about their being in the same subnet (h-91-196-48-*.euronet.net.pl); however it would appear David's IP was static during that time period.

David has visited ts servers somewhat frequently over the years.

David's IP was static for over two years at 91.196.48.194 from at least 2008-07-07 (1444 days ago) through 2010-08-13 (676 days ago).

Meanwhile in the middle of that span we have a connect from "Hasiu" at 91.196.48.19 (829 days ago).

Here are all the connects from euronet.net.pl during the time period while David's IP was static at 91.196.48.194:

So I'd agree the David and Hasiu IPs are eerily close, but it's not evident they are connected.

yet even with the single 'hasiu' spiked model hit taken out of the picture because it's not 100% sure to be him, there are still 2 IPs of david's with ac hits, 4 of which are for a proxy which I find to be a lot worse than the models.
modified client and unknown renderer can be a variety of shit. proxies are proxies.

you can fuck up and load a bad pak and get that spiked model hit. proxy tends to be something intentional, even if you believe people like Fader who claim they were just trying to fake their ping with a program they found.

I know what a lot of the hits for that violation happen to be and it usually starts with R and ends with atbot.

The only hit I find more suspicious that isn't outright stated by anticheat to be 100% a hack, is "generic inject" like the multiple hits our friend slugskie got in the past year or so on t4 when he forgot to turn off the shit he was using to wallhack in QL.
Yes it might be something else, but what does a retard like him need to be injecting in memory and why would anyone think he'd know how to do such a thing in a useful fashion?

The same sort of strangeness applies for david here.. What does an instagib player need to be running a proxy for, when he has a steady static connection? Any sort of noncheating proxy would actually hurt his performance in insta due to the nature of hitscan weps, yet he tries 4 times to load this thing that may or may not be hacks.

I don't deny that there is no 100% proof of cheating this season, but I definitely take issue with the people acting as though an over the shoulder cam video from someone who knows he's being watched closely negates any previous actions of his and/or proves he never cheated.

If he beat purri completely legitimate in the grand final, then he deserves the first place.

+12, even rusty, beating Purri or Damiah is no easy task.

The entire videos are posted of David playing.  Muerte should watch all of them, and pinpoint where David is using a cheat since it matters so much.

I watched the matches live and it didn't look like there was any hacking going on.  David did lose a couple and there was at least one match which was quite close IIRC.  Usually cheaters won't lose, ESPECIALLY if they're on the skill level of David.  David simply out-aimed Purri, especially with that chainsaw chaingun.  Haven't seen one that brutal in quite a while.

one of the biggest things he is saying is that david is not the worlds best, the play seen in that final was hardly what you would expect from top top tier players :/ purri and damiah have unfortunately hit a slump, at the same time david has hit his high.... the only thing i really wanna see out of david in the future is how bad he will lose IF (and i do hope that if happens) purri and damiah take this as motivation to get back into shape :)

no one is saying david cheated in that specific game, but clearing him on one game doesnt mean he doesn't cheat at all

i personally just dont care, there isn't gonna be a way to catch him without some anticheat updates that will be retroactive

We should consult a cheating expert like Golgo to settle this once and for all :p

Seems highly semantic to argue the validity of "best."  Who really is "best" anyway?  It's all a matter of dates more than actual talent it seems.

I agree though, Purri is off, I saw him at QuakeCon 2005 and he raped Doze, I believe, straight into retirement.  Seems like he got lazy after that.

And yeah, Golgo is the ultimate definition of cheat-detection.  :D  And pigs fly, Focalor isn't a redneck, and ruiner is the voice of science and reason.

This reminds me of when you beat Fader when he was in a slump and you were playing at your best.  :nana:
