Ok, so is there anyone at all who supports any of my ideas?

To reiterate:

- Last Man Standing
- Solid Quad
- Substitute single shotgun for freezer gun (dm & vanilla)
- Supply players with all weapons upon spawning

If not, I'm going to spend the rest of my life mymapping sewer64

either that or take people out in 3 hits at close range....

the normal sg is actually really good, just like the mg is really good... noobs just cant do shit with them because they cant aim

i always get kills with sg and mg

Never mind. I'm a big boy and I can handle life's little disappointments. Besides, I still believe in my ideas even if nobody else does.

Regular shotgun can be pretty strong actually. Depends on the situation, like it is for most of the weaker weapons (blaster, mgun, hand grenades). The nice thing about regular shotgun is that the spread is much tighter than SSG and the cooldown is less, so you can really chip away someone down who has 50 armor or less, when in you're in close-to-medium range.

Also, what game mode you play determines what weapons are more useful. In TDM, the weaker weapons that I already mentioned you must respect more, because the players you will encounter probably know how to use them better than the average dm player, and you generally have less armor since you have to share it.

OK how about this:

Reconfigure the scoreboard to a points system which accomodates high pingers. For example, a player with a 200 (average) ping gets maybe 4 points per frag, whereas a player with a low 100 ping gets only 3 points per frag. A player on super slow dial-up with a 350 ping would get maybe 6 points per frag.

Now try shooting that one down

What about players who are really good on a high ping? People like sidelines would hit the fraglimit in 30 seconds.

Well people like that would deserve to hit the fraglimit in 30 seconds, as they're obviously very good players.

I don't think you can disregard ping. It's essential in that it can mean the difference between a frag & being fragged.

Moreover, ping is something that the player generally has no control over - and which impacts on his or her true skillz.

(isn't this obvious?)
