Standard Quake 2 3.20 - my settings in vid_gamma, gl_modulate and intensity. The best rendition was always 3DFX with a Voodoo card. Open GL is an orangy compromise.

I think that is just caused by the recoil of the railgun.  I may be wrong though.

Recoil ? could be, but my crosshairs were off originaly (shot very low and left I think), and adjusted them with these settings.

set gun_x "-3"
set gun_y "0"
set gun_z "3"

Try the blaster, rocket launcher, etc to see if they shoot the same spot.

I looked at the settings myself, and it turns out the gun_xyz only changes the position of the gun, and not your crosshair. The crosshair is in a fixed position and can only be changed by editing the crosshair file itself, in the pak file. Also you should match up your crosshair with your hand setting. Right hand, get right hand crosshairs, middle get midle crosshairs.

Hmm yeah, I see what you mean. Changing those ingame doesn't do anything with my crosshair alignment now.  Best I remember, the default settings were "0" and I changed them to -3 0 3. That's got me baffled now. I'll have to experiment with it later.
