Because you posted about RedNeck Rampage I thought I'd post that gog.com has an Apoge sale ending in about a day or so:

Shadow Warrior was another cool one. Found that CD too the other day when I was going through my old games. Whenever the hell I work my way through the Redneck Rampage Route 66 expansion and Redneck Rampage Rides Again, I'll probably load that one up and start playing it too.

Back when those games came out in the late 90's and I bought them, being the impatient little bastard that I was, I was more interested with just getting through them rather than actually playing them, so I was using the godmode cheats pretty much from the start and never even tried playing it like you're supposed to. It's actually a lot more fun when I play it now WITHOUT the cheat codes. Another cool thing about the old games was that you could save your game at ANY TIME, ANY PLACE. These days you have to make it to checkpoints in order to save your progress.

I'm betting the C64 had more games then any other single platform has in existence.

I had ~60 games for that thing, most on floppies, some on cartridges.   On the lists of C64 games I've found, I had games that aren't even listed.

I remember killing hours and hours playing this, and tbh, it has robbed me of at least 4 nights I would have spent playing q2
Finally managed a successful campaign, and might have gotten the game out of my system,  for now.

Couldn't get my son into it to play me, not enough "graphics" or "action",  I still think it's exciting.
There is a problem with the save game,  but the msdos window survives hibernation/standby mode.
The one thing it didn't survive is my sons Assasin's Creed game crashing, lost a few good starts because of that.

I now see warlords II deluxe on that site, perhaps I'll have better luck with that one.

still playin a fuck ton of borderlands 2...

really fun game, and the farming and stuff is actually quite fun because the bosses are awesome, and if you get bored with them you can target mini bosses and unique enemies for specific legendaries

however, the third playthrough is quite bullshit 4x more health on everything with "moderate" health regen... and since it scales on a curve, its pretty hard to do any damage with guns even a couple levels behind unless its an epic legendary or you rock a bee shield (so OP, love it)

found out borderlands ruins your play in any type of arena FPS though lol didn't go well switching directly from borderlands to ut3

Awwww yiss! Last one was kind of "meh". I wonder how they are going to incorporate those'mech from the ttrailer into the game. I'd love to see some good ole'  fashioned run and gun against a swarm of those rather than a solo boss battle where they show up once.

I am five minutes into the game and I already found it to be terribly boring. I think I will wait until I can convince a friend of mine to try the coop mode.

I know what the game is. I've seen people play it a little bit before. I just found the beginning of the game to be very boring plot wise and the combat doesn't seem very appealing.

Well there's quite a few walkthroughs and LPs (let's play) for the game. I'd say watch that instead to get an idea, or just buy the game (it's about ten bucks and maybe still on sale).
