What games are you playing ?

I had been playing Titan Quest, but maybe getting a little bored with it.  Is a great game if you enjoy Diablo-style games.  Trying to decide what to play next.

I have great respect for titan Quest,and you should hunt down Immortal Throne ,which can be had for under 10 bucks somewhere...everywhere. And there is an excellent tweaking program for fine tuning the fun:you can set the variables to your liking like how many items the world generates in the way of treasure ,so you never have to see the crappy stuffand only magic items drop. The downside is that unlike most other games,and the reason I respect Titan Quest is the Magic Hoo Haa is being held AND used by the critter you make them drop.You can see a monster weilding a super weapon and feel it smacking you in the head with it. The critters fall just the same,so its slightly dangerous. Essentially you and your monsters have the same arsenal to draw from you want in the quality of loot Treasure chests generate. Fair enough...and it does other things too...here's where to get it:

One thing that add on allows is the sharing of items between characters,and Immortal Throne adds a lot of good content,and cool places to speed run. Rarely the Final Boss drops a special Turtle shaped key and that locks a super special dungeon that pay homage to the creators as monsters for you to fight,and there is a bunch of uniques tossed out with the Big Chest is worth shopping around for. And you can pass it like an heirloom to other characters to try their luck at the run...

So...it'll fill the Diablo3 Void for a bit longer...Oblivion is waning in its ability to stave off cravings of Skyrim...a dozen games from GOG.com that are "classics" with graphics that wowed them in the mid 90's but hurt my eyes after a half hour,blurring along with my attention. What I was playing last week was Heretic,a Doom 2.5d engine game with a fantasy theme,and its quake 2 enginesd sequal should be part of our Quake 2 Heritage . You are good at railshots....but how are you with a BladeStaff,sailor? There may still be bladestaff servers out there in the world ...you swing a staff in a variety of moves and block as well. And the weapon melee with the game weapons is fun too. I'd like to see a Bladematch tournement with a following like Tastyspleen,maps made... a scoring system instead of "health" too. Somewhere Heretic 2 must be floating around in an easily purchasable form. Not on GOG or steam...but....

What IS available on GOG.com is Kingpin. It's quake 2  powered and brought a lotto the table in the way of design and gameplay...
They did only 3 models,two guys and a woman,but did modular skins for head,torso and legs.And they did dozens of variations of each skin and made it work.And you could add Hats and smoking too. I used to run around as a moustached man in his boxer shorts and wifebeater undershirt and ten gallon hat and cigar. Someone's Unckle undoubtedly. Unckle Fuck is what I called him...liked shotguns to the face close up. A little incredulity goes a long way! "Am I really seeing this?" *POW*.And Bagman...you are gangs fighting over money. Someone is tossing it out of some drainpipe,and your rival gangs are trying to amass a certain amount to win. You can steal it from others,from the vaults,find it lying on the ground and have it taken from your corpse. Grab it off the ground,steal it from your safe. An interesting set of circumstances. I'd fight for Money not Flags any day    because there are far more strageties to employ.All it needs is a graffitti tag system like Half life does...

Skyrim is just around the corner
I've been playing Oblivion again,but made a fighting oriented character instead of an archer with a bunch of buffs. A different experience for sure...no longer seeking the high ground andpopping dozens of shafts into something to make it finally fall over. Now its layering the enhancements and diving into the middle of mobs,but I keep a staff or two to blast those damn ghost knights who run in packs of 3 or more

Just got through playing it, I play it nightly, yes almost EVERY night.
Just got through exploring all the rivers (ship mod). I've done the Buffed slash and hack character, but i'm more of a sniper so i've ran with the hidden archer assassin for the longest, get the levels up in the right way 50% of all sneak shots result in a one shot kill and another 25% atleast in a knockdown. I've yet to run as a full Mage but have oh so wanted to. Just can't see it happening now with Skyrim pre-ordered and on its way.

BOOM! HEADSHOT!

Well not really "boom"... more like "swoosh".

Was on a no-limit bowhunting only server earlier. Nailed this doe from about 50 meters. I kept using antler rattles and grunt calls to try to get it to turn broadside so I could take a shot, but it kept walking away from me only giving me a shot at its asshole which wouldn't bring it down in one shot. So I crept along behind it until finally it decided to stop, broke out the grunt call, it turned it's head to look, broke out the spotting scope quick to get the range, quickly brought up the bow and took a shot at it's head. Nailed it through the eye, spun her and dropped her on the spot.

Dude if you like that again you would LOVE Oblivion, I deer hunt all the time in that game. In the snow covered mountains, the swampy areas, open grasslands, forests, you name it. Plus the graphics are about 800 million times better than almost ALL Deer hunting games i've gave a whack at. Nothing like nailing a Deer from afar then setting down at the camp site taking in the breath taking view of the valley bellow. When I get a chance i'll post a pic.

been playing rage... its actually really fun its not the most realistic graphics ever, but its got a beautiful art style like a moving painting not to mention, it even runs great on slightly dated hardware which makes me more than happy

the racing is kinda meh, i do like the vehicle combat a little, and stuff like the bashtv arena where you can just take the shotgun to mutants for a few minutes and get good return for it is pretty fun the weapons feel great too, as expected from id

NASCAR Racing 2003 Season.

Been screwing around painting up cars for the new cup11s mod that [BTF]DeathStalker turned me on to. Had to save a demo of this horrific crash that happened to me. I was in single player with a 41 car field and had the opponent strength set a little too high so all the other cars were getting about 5 to 10mph more than me. I tried to make a video capture of the replay but the program I used was pretty crappy and didn't capture it very well, didn't get a good frame rate and made parts of the track and cars blink on and off a lot even though I had things like smoke, debris, skid marks, and track detail turned off or lowered.

I was running during the Practice period at Atlanta Motor Speedway. I had just left the pit area after getting repairs from a previous accident and merged onto the track a little too soon, so I wasn't up to full speed before getting in traffic (obviously a poor decision)... and then the 48 car clips my right rear fender and spins me exiting turn 2. After that, I just got clobbered again and again and again by a succession of cars, even got tagged once while my car was upside down in the air. Pretty much got repeatedly hammered along the entire length of the back stretch of the track.

Not quite done with this car yet, still have a few finishing touches to make. Probably gonna add something to the fenders behind the rear wheels, maybe paint the rollbars, add a few more contingency decals.

I'm 60 hours into new vegas.

Game was getting really boring.  I am way to nice, try to get along with everyone.
I finally picked a side and the game is really exciting again.

Just got settled after our move, havn't gotten back into my q2 groove yet.
Vegas will peter out for me eventually, and Skyrim I wont buy for myself until the price drops.
Maybe try to drop a hint or two with the family for that as a christmas idea

I made pictures of the male and female models using MD2 Viewer, then taking desktop screenshots, then editing out the single color background. I don't really know of a way to get a screenshot of a railgun trail without doing it in-game and then editing out the rest of the action around it. That would be a little more work than I really wanna do. So instead, I just took some screenshots of the soldier and gunner enemy models. Also slapped on a Quakecon 2011 logo under the contingency decals, and even that took a good bit of editing to get it to look right.

Still need to paint up the pit crew and warwagon. Maybe I'll post a screenshot of that when it's done too. PC's been being a total twat to me the past 2 days. For several weeks now, it's been running fine. Now all the sudden it's gone back to rebooting in the middle of games. Every time I went to apply to skin in the game yesterday, it would reboot. Even rebooted on me once or twice while I had photoshop open and was working on it, but luckily I saved my work before it shit itself.

I use a black sky. On tltf I have a sweet clip of shooting a rail straight down and falling thru it, traveling down the spiral.
Something for a rail movie if I ever make the time.

Pit crew done. I don't understand it at all. Now my shit stays running when I open up NR2k3. This motherfucker has a mind of it's own and loves to piss me off, I'm quite convinced.
