You don't like weird interludes, but you'll listen to King Crimson's Court of the Crimson King? Animals had short little intro and outro pieces consisting of acoustic guitar and vocals, meanwhile Court of the Crimson King had Moonchild, a song with like two minutes of actual SONG, and then 11 minutes of incoherent noodling noise.
Robert Fripp was a good guitarist and song writer, but if you ask me, the only interesting part of King Crimson vanished when Greg Lake left to form Emerson Lake & Palmer.
i havent listened to ummagumma, but i heard it had one awful studio album, and one absolutely amazing live album.
i heard it's alot more depressing than anything flips have ever made. also heard its a real grower on you, but since i havent even listened to yoshimi or embryonic or heady fwends, it might be a long time before i actually form an opinion on it. :x
