Had some range time this weekend.

Nagant 7.62x54, 200 rounds and my shoulder feels like Tyson gave me 2 for flinching

P-64 9x18, 150 rounds that tore up my thumb really good (bought and sold back to store same day)

Deagle 44 magnum, 8 rounds that I now owe my friend a dinner at Chipotle for

Picked up a Springfield XDM 9mm while I was there. With trade ins I had half the value paid for.
When they pulled out the case and I saw all the goodies that came with it (holster, 2 - 19 rnd mags,
double mag holster, lock, bore brush, lazy clip loader) I was sold. Case is real nice too. laughed when
I saw it had a space cut out for a silencer. Didn't get to try it out, and can't wait to do so.
Used to have a HK USP 9mm, and I think this gun is a bit nicer than that one.

nice purchase. like the looks of a lot of those new pistols, but I can't bring myself to buy on of those hamerless guns!!!

Shrouded hammer on a 357/38 is useful for drawing it pocketed..

Not sure where the usefulness is in a full size self loader,
would be happier if this one had a de-cock since the hammer is missing. (no safety either)

For some reason this reminds me of Redneck Rampage Rides Again, where you use a crossbow, but instead of shooting arrows, you shoot chickens with lit sticks of TNT shoved up their asses.

Went to the trap range two weekends back and blew through a couple hundred rounds of 12ga with my pump.
I was using some cheap ass federal loads and out of 200 I had one surprise shell that just did not sound or feel like the rest.

Instead of the nice muted "blam" sound I was used to, I got a loud sharp crack that sounded like I'd loaded one of my reloads with 38 grains of bluedot.

Left a good mark on my shoulder too.

Any "pet load" recipes for 12 ga. 7 1/2 or 8 shot loads you can pass on? Like for shooting dove?
