i dont even remember what names i used for Quake or the beginning of Quake2. i remember using fragmeat for a bit during Quake. And later was using fragmeat when i joined {LaG}. Not too soon after joining, i changed to Vishu http://www.pantheon.org/articles/v/vishnu.html Then i quit the game for a couple years, as it was taking up too much time in my life in an unhealthy and unbalanced way.

When i came back to Quake2 last year around June, i started using Gator. i had moved to Florida, so i thought that was fitting. Plus i knew a guy back home in Omaha that had the nickname Gator, and i always thought it was the coolest name. Dont know why i like the name, cuz i have no keen appreciation of them after living closely with them. It is highly illegal to kill them, but i have been very close to doing so over the last year. They get very aggressive during mating season, and after large hurricanes, and charge the shore to kill my family's dogs. Pretty irritating.

i appreciate this thread. i am always asking people what thier names mean, and love hearing the history of peoples play and associations. It is always cool to see crossed threads of history.

Although I've played Q2 pretty steadily since '97, much of the time I've used random names each time I connect.

The only two names I've ever stuck with for any period of time were Mr.Frostie, when I was in a clan in '98 - '99, and Never-quadz(tm).

Mr.Frostie came from a local ice cream & malt shop, with a sign that reads: "TASTEE FREEZE - MR. FROSTIE" with I think an icon of an ice cream cone with a bow-tie.

Never-quadz(tm) came about when I'd gotten tired of quad and decided to boycott it. Early on I was happy to get frags any way possible, and I thought quad was really neat. Of course I learned to time it, I never used .wav files, but propped up a watch with a second hand next to my monitor. . . . Then at some point I realized quad is really kind of boring. But rather than whine about it *cough* toxicmonkey *cough*

I just figured I'd stop using it.

I used to keep a sheet of paper with the different quake names I'd use when I connected. I managed to locate it... surprised because I've moved a couple times since I last looked at it. Here are some other names I used to play as:

Most of these are from '97 - 2000, though I still use a couple of them nowadays...

When I 1st started I had two nick names that my buddies called me.

1: was Stingerman. This was gave to me because my buddies said I was always stinging tha ladies. Stinging = Sex in thier terms.

2: was WHOLE FN SHOW. I was gave that name also because of my rep with tha ladies but also I use to be a really good breakdancer in my day. So whenever I went out to clubs my friends said I was tha WHOLE FN SHOW.

3: Now I go by [H2O]FNSHOW

When I first started playing quake2...both me and my girl would play and she came up with the nickname QueenBitch....I was a newb so I didn't know that there was actually a [Bitch] clan...they hated me but I used it anyways along with the crackwhore skin. Since she wasn't really into learning all the keyboard mouse combo style of play...my girl kinda fell out of quake2 which left it all to me..hehehehe....So I figured I'd better find a more suiting name....came up with DeAthMonGer and got picked up by the XOL clan...still on dial up....migrated into Chaos Mod after upgrading to DSL and met up with AnalGasses{KEA} our clan leader who invited me into the {KEA} clan. Since XOL was kinda fadeing away...I joined up with {KEA} but needed to come up with a different name....So came up with DeathInc{KEA}....kinda short for Death Incarnate since I will relentlessly hunt you down and chase you till your either dead or kill me....then the hunt starts over again and I won't stop....This may be why I like to have all the different player skins...
