I've been playing q2 since it first came out, i've played every map, every level, every pak and every mod. today, you'll find the word 'plastik' on many sites, and as many names from clothing companies to punk bands. But originally, I had a shirt with some type of anime female on it, dressed to kill, literally. That same shirt also had 'plastik' written on it, so one day I was looking for an alias, and I looked down, and on my shirt was the answer. I've used plastik as my main alias for almost ten years now(security and self esteem are to blame), and I can't really see myself using any others. plk == plastik for short. if I changed my alias from plastik, it'd be like changing my birth name. plastik is the alias I use for EVERY single identification purpose on the internet. Hell, sometimes I even make business's refer to me as Mr. Plastik or i won't deal with them.

Ive been using a new name since like...yesterday, simple name, it was before just Adam ({SX}), Which was then Nitrogen ({SX}), It went back to Adam again (all these still with sx on them, apart from when I dont feel like wearing the tag) Adam had a small modification to Ad^m, now the main other name I use is ENG^GE - Simply because tis new, and i like being engaged in battle.

I went fishin down in the Florida keys once. Cought this big old fish called a Wahoo. It put up a hell of a fight. Tasted good too!

Reading this, I dont think I ever explained mine....
not that it has an explanation really,

When I first started playing, I would just borrow names I had in q1

Ka Da Fe, Kameleon, Kapone, I was infatuated with the letter k I guess...

I wanted a name for q2, and I started using AIM around this time..
for AIM I wanted the name Tahkasis, a god queen in the Dragonlance series.
it was already taken.. so I fudged the spelling of it to Takkissis

used that name for awhile, joined tF, they died and I still wandered around with that name
till I thought of Reflex... dont know where it came from, just jumped in my head.

I played q1 and CS with the handle(s): "ConquerorWorm" or "The Coalition"
when I decided to get back into q2 (I didn't play it mulitplayer due to my shitty old dial-up, when it came out),
I wanted a fresh name with less memories of super-late twacked out nights playing CS, so I played under random aliases for a while until I settled on Whirlingdervish.

The name actually came to me when I was looking though an old Magic the Gathering deck that was one of
few I hadn't pawned off for drugs over the years. It was a green/black weenie swarm style deck with
lots of small creatures and tons of +1/+1 enchantments and creature counters (breeding pit etc..)

Whirlingdervish was one of the more useful weak-ass creatures you could summon, as it gained
power/defence permanently ever time it attacked succesfully, and it was immune to black magic.
(many negative enchantments bounced right off it.) It also took very little mana to conjure.

It was simple but powerful, weak to start but experienced and strong in the end.. Much like my q2 style.
I guess it just fit.
