Why am I here? Learning how to make SP maps and tinker a bit with the AI.

Yes, I'm very late for this. But I had to make a living, now I can follow my hobbies.

You may want to visit the Skins, Models, and Maps section at the top of this page. We have people who make maps and player models who frequent these forums.

I'm glad someone else resurrected this 5yr old thread...I'll continue:

Claire is the name of my 1.5yr old daughter. She enjoys trying to rip the mouse out of my hand to get at that red light while I'm playing.

Back in college (98-02) I played as Dr_Evil after the character from the Austin Powers movies. I really only played FFA then and gave it up until recently. I'd always wanted to be a good 1 on 1 player so I started up a few months ago to give it a shot. My first duel was again naymlis...lucky me.

I also use the alias "scarred" sometimes, it's the name of an old Dream Theater song I've always liked.

Nephi -- When I first started playing Quake 2 as a 13 year old, I would just hop onto my Uncle's Computer and go at it. He already had the name Nephi plugged into Quake 2, so I would just use it. Eventually people started to know me by that name so I decided on keeping it. But as for the origin of the specific name "Nephi"... It is a prophet in the good ol' Book of Mormon. Seeing as how 80% of my family is mormon, it's no surprise that my uncle used that name. Nephi was a very righteous man who was large in stature. Basically, in every other online game I play I go by "Aidenator", I actually wanted to have a name that I chose and not my uncle. Aidenator is just one part my first name (Aiden) and the -ator at the end just sounds cool. I made it up when I was about 10 years old playing Diablo 1 on LAN.

Happy Gilmore - My actual last name is Gilmore, got the nick at the same time Happy Gilmore came out, it started as a joke and kept it ever since, I shorted it to just Happy for clan tag reasons (as there was 2 of us AW Happy and of course myself)

I have used numerous aliases. you all know me as alpha. when i first started playing q2 back in the day i used icon or steve. so here are where my aliases come from....

Icon - came from Wrestling, shawn micheals

alpha - no fucken idea, just picked it. i used to be an op on icq irc server and this was my op nick. haven't used this nick in q2 for a long time

b0yce - my last name

T17u5 - one of my local football teams are the titans, so i put a variation on it

Br0nco - comes from the brisbane broncos my NRL team (sadly we were knocked out in the semi finals

) season just finshed so dropped the nick

ztev0 - my current nick. might keep this one. pretty obvious my name is steven, but most call me steve or stevo. seing there is already a steve0 tdm player i just did it differently

I used to play blood under the name [TTC]Saber when I first started online gaming, came to Quake 2 and used A.Ant for a long time (Adam Ant, my first name is Adam). I was also S-I-Froggy-C-K for a while (young kid). I liked kung foo movies and saw one with Jackie Chan called Armor Of God, I liked the movie so I used that for a while (Armor+Of+God) later on shortening it to just Armor.

i came across a site "what's in a name". you type in your name or screen name and it comes up with a description if it is in their databanks. it describes nearly what i am really like i was amazed. as well as medical problems u may have. so say like mine for example, my name is steven but most call me steve or stevo, so you can do all 3 names. or say your name is micheal, you could do mick, mike ect
