Evolution....Disproved?....hmmm...kind of a febel attempt if you ask me, thoughts?

Pretty much rules out any possibility of intelligent design.

Agreed,

That's why Christian (or any religious person) Evolutionists just baffle me.

The video is not much this is true, but im finding more stuff like this everyday and though no different from those before me, I fear we as humanity will never explain the origin of how we came to be, sure we have some great minds doing great things but I do believe that god/evolution/etc will only explain us, our origin...the only reason this is such a heated debate is because of religion, not evolution--if no religions exzisted, evolution would not be explained as heavily, and if evolution could be disproved I doubt people would make much of an argument when it comes to religion....but I wonder if evolution and god go hand in hand...maybe there is a god...who did spark life...but not life as we know it...what if god made everything, and evolution is just one of the things intended?  We could very well at this moment be slowly evolving...as well as at this moment there would be a god watching us evolve...I like that thought better than one meaning more than the other....and I assure you, that if there is a god, we are very very very very far from being his crowned creation.

Well, when we can explain how life comes about through simple beginnings (evolution), God sort of seems redundant. Natural Selection being God's way of doing it makes it sound like he chose a method that would make it appear exactly as if he wasn't there at all. He chose the method that makes him superfluous. To me this means:

1) God doesn't exist.
2) God chose this method of creation intentionally to either confuse us, test our faith in him, doesn't care (or can't because he's not personal) what we think, etc.

It just seems as time goes by the gaps are getting so small for him to legitimately claim existence. We're driven back to the far simpler question of "Why is there anything at all?" I suspect this is a gap that may never be filled.

It just makes me mad at times, because we are are talking about these different points and such.....what if nature itself doesn't give us the answer  to "why?".....what if "why?" is miniscule to nature itself, we may be a to the planet what pathogens are to us...pests even, an infection...what if "why?" for us doesn't even matter because in nature (and when I say nature, I mean exzistance in general) we don't have "why?".....ok it's late, and im begining to ramble rofl so ill post more tomorrow after my head is level...all these thoughts of exzistance and I just brought a son into exzistance....perhaps one day he'll look to me and ask "why?"....I just hope by that time I won't have to say "beats me son..."

I don't know if I understood you. Are you implying that because nature and the way our science reveals it may not answer everything, god must exist? It's a shame it seems humans, being conscious of death, have a real hard time just accepting reality as it presents itself.

Anyways, it's late, ,  and tomorrow I would be interested in rambling.

all these thoughts of exzistance and I just brought a son into exzistance....perhaps one day he'll look to me and ask "why?"

I don't have kids, but from what I've heard, somewhere around 2 or 3 years old you're going to get way more "why?" than you ever wanted. :D

as if! lol seriously, as if reality has presented itself.  how can you walk around this planet, and be told everything was packed together in something so small you couldn't even see it, then it exploded into life, and think reality has revealed itself.   god or not that explanation doesn't sit well with me, because getting a universe like this is like winning the lottery (if it's a one shot deal), and last I checked, it seems there's a lot of evidence for only one big bang, maybe one big bang has been revealed.

that's it, no life, nothing going on, just a real small ball of everything, then bam.. you got bitches, beaches, all that. in my mind we really lack a very sound explanation for this, i'll accept things that are hard to accept, and change my mind, but I believe there is some type of god

actually if you take out the mistaken preconception that our universe is in some way "perfect" the odds of our universe turning out this way end up being the exact same as the odds that it would turn out any other way.

trying to explain "why the universe is" by using the anthropic principle(s) doesn't work if you start with faulty assumptions about the current state of the universe.

The universe only appears to be perfect to you because the lens that you view it with can only see a limited number of it's dimensions and then only at a very certain scale. when things become to small or too large to focus on, they don't just stop existing and there isn't any less probability that they exist. they're just beyond your ability to observe.

how can you walk around this planet, and be told everything was packed together in something so small you couldn't even see it, then it exploded into life,

I thought you were all-pro at believing in things you can't see...

 :sorry:

i'm not going to get into this, as i believe if there was no god, there would be no universe, and discussing chances of this universe being here requires a total explanation, but anyways... i agree with what you said, at least i think i understand what your trying to say, i don't necessarily disagree

the difference is, there's a logical reason that I can't see the thing I believe in, and in your case there isn't.
Mine was millions of years before I was around to observe it. Yours is supposedly still around today.
(although what he is doing with all his free time, no one knows.. He's certainly not affecting any part of the observable universe to a recordable degree!)

Why can't we see god up in the heavens "looking down on us" and all that crap?
Is there one single logical explanation for that?
