Well, when we can explain how life comes about through simple beginnings (evolution), God sort of seems redundant. Natural Selection being God's way of doing it makes it sound like he chose a method that would make it appear exactly as if he wasn't there at all. He chose the method that makes him superfluous. To me this means:1) God doesn't exist.2) God chose this method of creation intentionally to either confuse us, test our faith in him, doesn't care (or can't because he's not personal) what we think, etc.It just seems as time goes by the gaps are getting so small for him to legitimately claim existence. We're driven back to the far simpler question of "Why is there anything at all?" I suspect this is a gap that may never be filled.
all these thoughts of exzistance and I just brought a son into exzistance....perhaps one day he'll look to me and ask "why?"
It's a shame it seems humans, being conscious of death, have a real hard time just accepting reality as it presents itself.
how can you walk around this planet, and be told everything was packed together in something so small you couldn't even see it, then it exploded into life,
as if! lol seriously, as if reality has presented itself. how can you walk around this planet, and be told everything was packed together in something so small you couldn't even see it, then it exploded into life, and think reality has revealed itself. god or not that explanation doesn't sit well with me, because getting a universe like this is like winning the lottery (if it's a one shot deal), and last I checked, it seems there's a lot of evidence for only one big bang, maybe one big bang has been revealed.that's it, no life, nothing going on, just a real small ball of everything, then bam.. you got bitches, beaches, all that. in my mind we really lack a very sound explanation for this, i'll accept things that are hard to accept, and change my mind, but I believe there is some type of godQuote from: whirlingactually if you take out the mistaken preconception that our universe is in some way "perfect" the odds of our universe turning out this way end up being the exact same as the odds that it would turn out any other way.

I thought you were all-pro at believing in things you can't see...
