So... as I ponder my upcoming dental appointment, I would like to point out that the mere existence of the Deep Scaling and Root Planing procedure, belies the possibility of "intelligent design."

Well, like you mentioned, that was 300 years before the arrival of Jesus Christ. At that point in time, the only way of actually talking to God was through a Jewish grand poo-bah who'd dip behind a curtain where he'd have tea and crumpets with Jehovah. After Jesus came and went, Jesus became the new intermediary between man and God. I would've loved to have seen Epicurius and Jesus have a nice formal townhall debate. For one, it'd be great to see someone to rape Jesus in a debate. For two, it'd be funny as hell to watch as Jesus used his holy telekinetic powers to change the other guys teleprompter to make him unknowingly say something like, "...and that, my friends, is why Jesus is not the Son of the one true God and I'm also a horsefucker."

That list should be longer. They left off Amon, Azazel, Damballa, Tiw (maybe "Tu" instead???) Yog-Sothoth, and of course Focalor. Christians don't believe in me. And of course the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

A tiny bit more bacteria in the mouth and teeth would not survive.. tiny bit less and scaling would not be necessary.

Hell, in most valleys there aren't even teeth, but somewhere is probably one that is populated entirely with fluoride.

What most people, the majority... believe god is, has nothing to do with zues, or any list of gods you're bringing up.

god is self evident to people, they can choose to dismiss the idea, although i'm not sure how wholeheartedly that dismisal is in most cases. it's not that people think there is a god, it's that god has so much evidence in his favor it's just self-evident to most people that god exists. like "you think there is a god therefore there is" makes good sense to me.

I asked about Zeus specifically to attempt to learn more about Eternity's speculation that people must "hate god". I wanted to know if Eternity feels hatred for Zeus. Or if maybe Eternity doesn't feel hatred for Zeus because he doesn't believe Zeus is real.

Maybe many athiests hate god, because they weren't happy with the idea that god would create this world, so they come to the conclusion that god does not exist. Many athiests openly "pick sides", but to me it doesn't mean they 100% dont' believe in god, at least in my current understanding of the humans.
