also for those who think i'm an absolute idiot, that has no idea what he's talking about. well before 9/11 i predicted a terrorist attack from muslim extremists;
christians leaders actually accepted the big bang theory because it implies a god.
the answers science will put forth will reasonably discount a god for man; however i still will think they are wrong, because i don't believe the scope of there answers will discount a god, and i have a stronger personal belief there is a god.
but of course i'm a total idiot and nothing i said above requires intellegence
back on topic though..If anyone is responsible for God "letting things happen to us", then it would have to be God.If he exists, and he is all-powerful, then no one and no thing is going to influence his/her/it's decisions.
The blame game only works when the buck keeps getting passed.
how would you know whether or not I preach any religious texts as being the word of God?
But, if it were true "God" couldn't be "appeased" or "influenced", why do all religions (those based around "gods/demons/angels/etc") have as a central part of their tenents actions designed to do just that?

...why are so many people apparently afraid of the idea that the Universe just doesn't care about them (any more than it cares about anything else)?
I have to stand by what I've said before and teach as I believe Jesus did - present the teaching and leave it up to the hearer to accept or reject it.

of course it implies a god for them because they already 'know' there is a god. i'm curious whether you think the big bang theory implies the presence of god or not with reasoning for your claim.
