I'm gonna go ahead and say this has 0% to do with Boehner's personal religious convictions and 100% to do with the money he's getting to adopt this stance from insurance lobbyists whose employers want one less thing to have to shell out money for. If there is a Hell, people like this have reserved seats. Feigning some type of pious religious stance with the secondary objective of appearing to be some champion of liberty and freedom when fighting for the rights of business owners to have policies congruent with their religious beliefs... it's just corrupt, evil, and twisted in so many ways. Some people really do not have a conscience or sense of self-respect. Remember the good old days when conservatives would stubbornly stick to their guns simply because they really thought they were doing the right thing? Now, they do it when it pays well, and any other time they sit on their fucking hands.

Politics has always been a business of one hand washing the other, but they usually try to convolute and disguise the gory details about what's REALLY going on. Any idiot born yesterday can figure out what the prime mover is in this deal. Rather unsettling to think that a person in his position really doesn't care that his motives are so transparent. I'm very displeased with the way the Obama administration has been pouring out money into bottomless holes, but then shit like this happens and it makes me scared to death to vote for another republican who's probably only going to do similarly corrupt shit that will fuck over the majority of the country for the benefit of the few privileged insiders. Last thing I want is another republican administration that's going to turn a blind eye to even more shit that's raping the economy to death like the whole housing loan racket that went on during Bush's 2 terms.

I'm reading too far into it and getting way past the original point, I know. But these days, with all the fucked up shit I've seen going on in Washington, it's impossible NOT to be such a hypochondriac about this shit.
