At first, I thought I'd have to code it custom. But I think I can do it with the existing scripts.

OK... I made the change. Here's the rotation:

q2dm1(-pu) q2dm2(-pu) q2dm3(-pu) q2dm4(-pu) q2dm5(-pu) q2dm6(-pu) q2dm7(-pu) q2dm8(-pu) q2dm1(+pu) q2dm2(+pu) q2dm3(+pu) q2dm4(+pu) q2dm5(+pu) q2dm6(+pu) q2dm7(+pu) q2dm8(+pu)

Also, mymap is disabled except for match1...

Guess we'll see how it goes.

Damn.. that sucks, (my opinion..), I dont wanna have to wait a whole round of 8 maps, just to be able to play with quad on, mymap worked absoloutely fine, it didnt allow repeat options, ppl could mymap it off and it would stay off until mymapped on, which vice versa etc.. wish it could just be left stock q2dm1-8, with powerups, all weaps like normal..

You're from the UK right, you never heard of Fuster's DM? (62.44.69.98) It's populated every night, in our timezone. Low ping adaM, low ping:)

Huh. I'd have thought it was less like a mod now, with mymap essentially disabled. It's straight DM1-8, in order. The fact that each loop through the rotation toggles the powerup status, doesn't strike me as very mod-like? I mean there used to be tons of DM1-8 servers out there, some had powerups on, some had powerups off. None was considered a "mod".

Well none of the weaps changed...

If I had a way of just 'mymapping' the powerups on/off, without disrupting the rotation order, I probably would have done that. Apparently some folks really want 1-8 in order.

If I had time to script that, maybe I'd add that to 'nextmap'...

Like: nextmap +pu

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the BFG, but I don't "hate" it. I find quad much more unnecessary and detrimental to fun gameplay than the BFG. Though the BFG can be a bit of a nuisance at times too =P

Ahh, bravo, sounds like a good change (haven't had a chance to test it out yet myself). I think this is fair since it was split nearly 50/50 for who wanted quad disabled entirely for ALL map cycles. This way those who like quad still get their full dm2-dm6 quad runs, and people like myself who enjoy DM without quad get to enjoy it as well. And Habib made a good point with allowing easier railgun access on maps like DM2, which I find more fun as well. I know this strays away from the totally vanilla original DM FFA setup, but who's to say that ID got it perfect 9 years ago (or whenever dm1-8 came out)?

I think this is a nice compromise as I believe enough people genuinely didn't enjoy playing with quad over and over, but didn't really have much of a recourse other than mymapping repeatedly.
