q2DM7 was only made so that q2dm7mod could be made some day.
You know how it's said that every bug one day will be abused if it's worth it? Well, that mislocation bug (invisible player, for the uninformed) apparantly can be, now. The same ****head did it multiple times. I knew the ****head was cheating, but I figured it was over once I saw his death message - not to be. He either backdoored it or reconnected, showing he wasn't just cheating in order to win, but to intentionally **** with players, and as 'paranoid' as some people think I am, it appeared the main player was me.
Last I checked it was admitted that the bug is due to personal alterations in the code, so those alterations need to be remedied now or the offending servers shut down until a time that can be accomplished.
BTW, if you want to delete my times on Jumpmod, have the balls to kiss me first. I don't give a **** who did it, point the fingers all you want, but my score for ATR_KJump11 had been up there for quite some time and now only very old or very new times are there, as if someone intentionally went back before that 'week before BigD' backup someone said you had and screwed me over expicitly. I knew I had completed a lot more maps than that, after seeing scores not existing on maps I know I finished, but ATR_KJump11 proves it. I worked on that 9.2 to shove it down Pitri/Boat's throat only to have it rammed up my ass.
Speaking of the "invisible player, for the uninformed, bug" I use the female model when i play.
I've got old demos I posted here a while back where I was able to become invisible with a trick. This only worked on servers running Quake 2 version 3.19 though. Once you died, like the current bug, upon respawn you were visible again though.
