Forget about how Blood and everyone in AR thinks I cheat, passing it on to people who don't even know how to play - accusing me of walling before they can frag and chew gum at the same time. What the hell is the spawn shield doing back? This is a DM server, not a babysitting service. MyMap... on a DM server... there are nine maps in standard deathmatch. If you need to recall a map played twenty minutes ago you should go play tourney or Mage/DS Warehouse. Don't even get me started on the quad.

ignore the n00bs

spawn protection is a vital part of any server, their would be chaos without it (SEE: Railz Server)
mymap might not play a big part on the server, but its still good for setting other settings

Don't worry, the punitive component is disabled. You won't get gibbed by shooting a yellow guy. And obviously they only have a blaster. If you're determined to kill someone who just spawned, just stalk their poor, blaster-toting carcass for 1.0 seconds.

You could turn off the quad with mymap. Also, you can get match1 via mymap. Not that everybody likes match1. But it is an id official dm map.

Spawn protection = Not classic DM

haha..

next issue will be.. 1.0 seconds isn't enough spawn protection time.

I still stand firmly when I say, if you hate being spawn fragged.. don't hammer the fire button to respawn once you die.. or better yet.. if you know where the asshole is spawn camping, make it your goal to go kill him. I'm got so many retarded camping the spawns in DM3. They're not expecting anyone to go attack them, or if they are, they're not paying attention to the action around them, just the pad. Furthermore, if you are truely that bothered by it, tastyspleen offers more than one server to play on.

Also, to all these people that whine about the spawn camping, i've never seen one person not shoot in my direction if they notice me spawning. You're all a bunch of hypocrates.

Speaking of quad, I suggested it on the other quad thread that I bumped, would anybody be interested in alternating map rotations with and without quad? DM1-DM8 with quad for one rotation, then DM1-DM8 cycles again without quad, then on, off, etc. Seems like a good compromise, since it's about half and half of who likes quad being enabled to who doesn't.

And btw, we're not following any stricts guidelines to the DM server, it's just basically to agree to keep those specific maps. I'm not really too concerned about spawn protection, it's not that big of a deal. I wouldn't mind seeing mymap go bye bye though, that is if the above suggested quad on/off cycling was enabled, other than that there's not a whole lotta things I'm too concerned about being turned on or off, with regards to the DM server anyway.

Well well well, look what we're talking about again.

I thought DM is supposed to stock. Spawn protect sould be off, gives me some smiley faces when I frag the sucker spawn camping.

But that's not my big complaint anyhow.
I love DM because it's supposed to be stock, so it shouldn't have any mymap options.
I find it crap that after a 15 map rotation, 10 of them we're Q2DM1.
My god, if someone loves Q2DM1 so much go play a freakin tourney server

Scenario: Mymap everything possible to turn DM into something else entirally.

DM is supposed to be stock, If you don't like it, play a mod with settings you prefer.
Don't come to DM then complain to console "someone spawn camped me, turn it off. Someone quaded me, turn it off. I didn't get to play Q2DM1 80 million times, fix it for me so I can mymap it in every chance I get.

Please, leave DM alone, leave it stock.
Don't try to get DM turned into something it's not. That's what MODs are for.

I'm very passionate about my DM. And yes I considerate my DM.
After all, I am DeathStalker and DM does mean DeathMatch.
LOL, that was a joke in case anyone didn't get it.

Oh, and AX, like others have said, all good player gets acused of hacking wheather they are or not.
Hell I've been acused of it a couple of times after getting 3 or 4 straight fraggs in on somebody and I'm not even that good.
Shoot man, if I get accused I take it as a compliment.
