lol fanny, I don't get you at all man, you let kobra annoy the shit out of everyone on your channel unchallenged, but you're in agreement with them that we all should be banned from etg for simply being in a channel...

now I agree, haunted and whoever shouldn't have made this all worse by pretending to be an admin (kismet) and whatever else they were doing, but the initial bans were somewhat harsh, espeically without a warning first, unless we were doing something really malicious to the server (flooding, ddos attacking, hacking, etc.) which we weren't

no.. it's clearly unreasonable to lock my clan's channel, and I wish that kismet could take jokes like i can, or make jokes like the one that you just made. #clanego did NOTHING wrong at all. You still haven't responded in an estrogenious defense in kismet's reactions regarding that yet fanny

and btw, I've only only accused 2 people of cheating on this forum.. 1 i was right, 1 i was wrong.. but it was funny neverthe less

and as for me and scream being kismet| and kismet||.. we changed our names to that for a total of 10 seconds, and didnt even say anything under the names.. lol..

Sean, Haunted I havent taken sides with anyone on the #straight issue. I mearly went and got info from kismet (the other side of the story) as the original post seemed to be missing something. Normally I wouldnt have even done that but since the post (and ensueing responses) seemed to suggest some need to move #tastyspleen to QN because ETG is unfair / overbearing etc I figured I would get more info.

My posts to this point have been to suggest reasons why some of the actions may have been taken.

Did you (or anyone else in the channel) deserve what you got, I dont know, not my call, dont know all the facts. But it would appear there was at least some evidence of a lack of "Halos" in the channel and therefore some response by the ETG admins warranted.

I wasn't saying you were taking anyones side man, you (like a lot of others) misunderstood me, what I'm talking about is I thought that it was funny that you seem to be for freedom of speech on your own network (tastyspleen and all its subsidiaries) to no end, you let everyone around speak their mind, even if it's bothering the majority, and yet you think 10 or 15 people should be banned for supporting a channel.

this isn't about taking sides, that would imply that someone was "right" or "wrong" when clearly almost everyone involved was "wrong" to some degree, I'm not saying I'm right for not liking gays, I'm not saying kismet was wrong for shutting down the channel, all I am saying is that the ban was somewhat excessive, espeically since there was no warning beforehand, and especially since she did it to so many people at once.

you know what, scratch that, I withdrawl the whole arguement because I don't really care, and I certainly wasn't pointing a finger at you fanny, you are cool in my book no matter what, it was just an observation

Also I don't get the whole move to quakenet thing, maybe you guys had a meeting without me but I never said ETG was unfair or that we should move anything to quakenet, not in any of my posts, mya set some channels up without even talking to me about it and thats cool and all, but I'm not moving there, nor was I planning to, nor was I suggesting all of you move there. ETG is where the q2players are, without the players theres no scrims, and without that whats even the point. All I did in my original post was share what happened to me and how I felt about what happened.

quakenet imo sux lol ;D - i'd rather be on gamesurge, at least i could get a cs scrim there

Didn't mean to imply the move to QN was soley based on your post, I meant I just got a vibe that some folks (again not necessarly you) wanted to move there.

As to the TS way of doing business, generally we (the TS admin) elect to not limit free speech on #tastyspleen with the only real exception being racial slurs and we would of course let someone know they were pushing things to far before any action was taken (but reserve the right to act if someone goes nuclear), but that is TS. At the same time I have seen things go on in #tastyspleen that if it was my personal channel I might be inclined to a short ban to get someones attention but again only after some type of warning.

btw I can get into #clanego, so it appears if it was locked it is no longer.

but like I said it's all good here

by locked we mean that the admin removed all of the ops from the channels chanserv +o list, therefore no one can do anything with the channel, and after a short while of no one coming in there with ops, the chanserv will go away by itself (it's like a month of no op traffic and then the channel goes back to nothing) so in essence theyve just killed his channel, didn't mean locked as in password protected.
