Ohio State got prison bitch't, I love it. Alabama's gonna have a tough one if that same Clemson team shows up to the national championship. I said Alabama was a sure thing, but I'm not so sure anymore.

And HOW THE FUCK did Atlanta end up being the #2 seed in the NFC this year? I'm gonna be pissed if they do something crazy and win the superbowl this year since I've been intentionally neglecting watching any of their games this season. But IF they do it, it'll definitely be this year, the year I've been hating on them worse than ever and rooting for them to go 0-16.

They already are. That's one of the reasons I was rooting for them to lose every game this year.

It's like I've been saying, the big 10 is trash y'all. It's why they never schedule games with the sec or ACC in the regular season. When ACC teams win and lose v each other the conference is inconsistent, when the big 10 does it's because the whole conference is "blue blood" and get their dicks sucked by the committee. I'd bet 1,000 on unc taking Ohio state. Big 10 blows donkey balls.

The Big 10 top 6 teams - 1 win 5 loses and the 1 win is against Western Michigan 

Penn St - Lost to USC 52-49  Close game, but the PAC 12 is not that great of a conference either.

Ohio St - Lost to Clemson 31-0 -  Ohio St very overrated.

Michigan - Lost to FLA St 33-32 - FLA St beat Mich is almost every stat but they had more turnovers so the game was closer than it should have been.

Wisconsin - Beat Western Michigam 24-16 - Wisconsin won a close game against a good but small school.

Iowa - Lost to FLA 30-3 - FLA has no offense against good teams but scores 30 on Iowa.  Iowa learns what it is like to play a SEC defense.

Nebraska - Lost to TENN 38-24 - Big 10 gets another dose of the SEC

Penn St - Lost to USC 52-49  Close game, but the PAC 12 is not that great of a conference either.

I saw the last half of that one. A heartbreaker for Penn State. They were up by 14 going into the 4th, but USC somehow started playing a little better defense and tied it up. Penn State had a prime opportunity with 1:20 and 2 TO's left to work it into FG range and avoid an overtime by trying for 3, but they got too desperate and careless trying to pass for 20yds at a time, and it made it easier for USC to intercept it. And by some miracle the guy runs the INT back a full 30 or 40 yds, immediately putting USC in FG range.

Their first major bowl since the Sandusky shit and the no-bowl penalty, and the 4th quarter 2-score lead gets shot out from under them. LOL.

I missed it. So I can only assume. One of the better teams from the PAC 12 beat the big 10 champion. The PAC and big 12 may be in "slumps"(the big12 is a false slump since they play every team in their conference and no one else) but the PAC 12 is still the 3rd best conference, in my opinion.

I'm just wondering if they're going to switch to an 8 team playoff. These lopsided semifinals have been a drop in ratings and a statistical error by the committee, whether one agrees with them or not.

An 8 team playoff would actually be cool if it was done right. 2 sec teams, 2 acc teams, big 10, PAC, big 12, and an independent/lesser conference undefeated. That's what it should be on conference strength right now anyway, but it'll never happen.

If it was done right is the key.  If they took the top 8 on the final rankings, this is what we would have got

Yeah, I know it's just wishful thinking. This year the ACC and SEC had several teams that could be 2nd to Alabama/Clemson too which would make the format I suggested even more troublesome. Truth be told I'd rather see an 8 team playoff between the ACC and SEC and forget the other conferences lmao.

If Ohio state had to play the #2 to #5 ACC teams, I'd consider them extremely lucky if they won half of them. Shit, and what about outside of the top 5? Have fun with Miami, ga tech, nc state and Pitt. I could apply a similar argument to the SEC v the big 10 and other conferences as well.

I would NOT like to see an 8 team college football playoff. They've already screwed things up by adding 1 game to the schedule for the 2 participants in the National Title game. That's one more game to rack up stats and possibly eclipse long standing records set by the legends who didn't have the opportunity to play more games in their careers. Plus its already too complicated and tedious. Look at how many people complain about how they pick the 4 seeds now. More teams would mean more questionable picks at times. But mostly... I'm just tired of these people fucking with the game. STOP MESSING WITH IT! It ain't broke, so don't fix it.

I feel bad for Detroit. I don't think they had a realistic shot of winning a Superbowl this year, but they had plenty of terrible calls and no-calls go against them. Matt Stafford's become an amazing NFL QB, far surpassing any expectations I had of him when he left UGA for the NFL draft. He's got the potential to be a multi-Superbowl champ QB, but... Detroit just can't piece together a decent offense to support him. His O-line is pretty crappy at pass blocking and even worse at run blocking, he doesn't have ANY run game to mix up the attack, his receivers drop too many. The guy can cannon-blast a football on a bullseye from 70yds away while scrambling, and they still can't win a playoff game. The god damned Cubs won a World Series before the Lions won a playoff game. LOL?

I agree with your comments about Stafford, he got them to the playoffs.  On a better team, he would be talked about when they discuss the top QB's in the league.  Stafford has not been consistent for most of his career, but this year he has been great.  I hope that this year has not been a fluke and he has evolved into a top 10 QB.

Watch out for Seattle, they have been up and down this year, but they have a team that could make it to the SB.
