If the Big Ten gets two teams in the playoffs, then only two of the remaining four major conferences would get a team in the playoffs.
Whoever wins the Big 12 will probably not make the playoffs.
If Alabama wins out their in, if they lose 1 game they are probably still in (like Ohio St)
That means the PAC12 or the ACC would get screwed.
I can see Washington losing again, which would drop the PAC 12 out of the playoffs.

Well Louisville is out of the conversation now. Bama, Ohio state, Clemson, with Wisconsin or Washington fighting for the 4th spot. Unless the winner of the ACC coastal or wake forest upsets Clemson which I doubt. I think Va tech matches up better to Clemson style wise, clemson should win. NC would've given them more trouble but tech has to drop a game to UVA for nc to be in the championship game.

Florida was a 14 point underdog and pulled out the win by stopping LSU on the Florida 1 yard line on the last play of the game.
I thought LSU would cover the spread, so the Florida win definitely surprised me.
Florida has now won the SEC East, what do they get for their accomplishment - A date with Alabama
On another bright note, Notre Dame lost again and will definitely finish with a losing season
Haunted,
You may be right about Penn St. losing to Mich St., Mich St. gave Ohio St. all they could handle today before losing 17-16.

A local high school football team had to go nine overtimes to win 69-62
Those kids played almost 2 games

The playoffs could get really screwed up this year. I have a feeling an "8 team playoff" is going to be a big discussion topic. If penn state wins out and wins the big 10 championship that'll put the big 10 in an even bigger mess. Same if va tech or nc beats Clemson. They should just give the trophy to Alabama tomorrow.

Unless Ohio St. loses to Michigan, they will be in the 4 team playoff. The committee loves the Big Ten and will put Ohio St. in the playoff even if they don't make their conference championship game. The Big Ten could have 2 teams and the PAC12 or Big12 would get screwed.
I would hold up on Alabama making it to the playoffs, they still have to play that Powerhouse known as the University of Florida
I am very shocked that the Gators are still in the playoff chase. If they make it out of Tallahassee with a win (which I doubt), they will definitely get eliminated from the playoff talk when they play Alabama.

Florida has a shot against fsu. so far its been teams witha better offense than them have won. anyone with a worse offense or about as good like miami and ole miss lost to them. florida has he best defense they have faced though maybe, so they might not have to worry about putting 30 plus points up. if thats true, te gators have a decent shot. Plus, cmon sarge the heels have beat em in tallahassee the past 2x in a row. UNC is the only acc team jimbo fisher has never beat, haha.

The NCAA has ordered the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to vacate all the wins from their 2012 and 2013 football seasons in an academic misconduct case -
http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/18113811/ncaa-orders-notre-dame-fighting-irish-vacate-wins-2012-2013-seasons
I bet all of the football players involved were starters or played significant minutes.
Coach Kelly is such a whiner and says that he is not responsible and should not be held responsible for any of this. What a douche.

Yup. Fuck 'em. They've been giving UNC shit for YEARS over an African-American studies professor giving easy A's to basketball players and a tutor doing homework and taking $$ for making sure football players pass(or something). UNC got caught for doing what ALL colleges do and have been in the spotlight for it. I get it, and they fixed it. But if you're doing anything outside that I hope the NCAA makes an example out of them.

Brock Osweiler: Green laser from stands 'definitely' affected play -

I hope this does not start happening more now.

Rivalry week
Some good games this week and since its rivalry week their could be some upsets.
Games that were already played that had surprising outcomes -
Iowa put it on Nebraska 40-10, eliminating them from the conference championship game.
Boise St & Houston were both upset, knocking them both out of the chance to be in a New Years 6 Bowl Game.
NC St. upset North Carolina eliminating UNC from the conference championship game.
Missouri beat Arkansas, this one had my going
(Florida dominated Missouri and Florida was dominated by Arkansas)
Rivalry games being played today.
Georgia versus Georgia Tech, both teams are 7-4 and the game is being played in Athens. Georgia should win this one, but you never know which UGA team is going to show up.
Ohio St. versus Michigan, Ohio St. is at home and Michigan will be playing with a back up QB. Ohio St. should win this one, but Michigan has probably the best defense Ohio St. has faced. (If Ohio St. wins and Penn St. wins, Penn St. wins the Big 10 East)
Auburn versus Alabama @ Alabama, Alabama should win, but Auburn has the best SEC record against Alabama since Saban has been their coach.
USC versus Notre Dame @ USC, I hope USC is beating Notre Dame so bad that they are playing 3rd string players the whole second half.
Minnesota versus Wisconsin @ Wisconsin, Wisconsin already has the Big 10 West wrapped up, but a Wisconsin loss would make it less likely to have 2 Big 10 teams in the playoffs.
Utah versus Colorado @ Colorado, this game will determine who wins the PAC 12 South. If Colorado wins their the champion of the South, if they lose USC wins the South. Colorado or USC will play Washington for the PAC 12 Championship.
South Carolina versus Clemson @ Clemson, The should be a easy win for Clemson but being a rivalry game you never know.
Florida versus Fla St. @ Fla St., Fla St. is favored by over a TD. Florida will be missing 8 starting players and Fla St. is in the best shape health wise all year. There is a good reason Fla St. is favored, but hopefully Florida can beat the odds like they did against LSU last week.

Even if Alabama loses, they're definitely in the playoff. Washington is a one loss team and they just won the PAC 12 championship game very convincingly. They're in as well. If Clemson beats va tech marginally, they'd be a shoe in as well, although that hasn't happened yet. Then there's the big 10, haha. Who would y'all rather see in? Ohio state or the winner of penn state Wisconsin? It's a weird scenario. if va tech stomps Clemson somehow it should make this easier on the committee but we'll see.

I mentioned this in a earlier post, do you put Ohio St. in over the conference champion. If Wisconsin wins, it is a little bit easier, because Ohio St. beat Wisconsin head to head. If Penn St. wins, how do you put Ohio St. ahead of them, because they beat Ohio St.
I bet the committee is secretly pulling for Wisconsin in the conference championship game.
