Florida versus Idaho game cancelled, no makeup scheduled.
This was Florida's best chance for a win

Got a free preview weekend with HBO and finally caught an episode of that Hard Knocks show. Wow. Ya know... from watching this shit, it “almost” looks like the Falcons front office know what the fuck their doing, what with their ridiculous salaries and all.
But that illusion easily falls away when you see some of the promising talent they've been forced to either cut or relegate to to the “thanks-but-no-thanks” practice squad while they hire a bum like Devin Hester who automatically comes with an enormous salary and thus no remote chance of being cut no matter how awful he plays.

the hard knocks series isn't bad, I've only caught a portion of an episode so far for atlanta. I watched every one for cincinatti mainly to watch Giovani Bernard in the training camp... he was one of the main 3-4 people they focused on(AJ Green, that big linebacker from pittsburgh, etc.)
It gave some insight though considering how stacked with talent that team is yet they're never in the final equation.

South Carolina is crap compared to previous years. Their qb is horrible at pass accuracy, buddy throws it 9 miles above receivers heads forcing them to jump and stretch for it and take huge hits. And thats only when he's lucky enough to get even THAT close.
Damn. Why do the refs hate UNC so much? End of the 1st quarter, UNC wr makes a great catch on the sideline, they call it a catch at first, then the sideline ref runs in an overrules the call saying he was out. They call time to review it, and clearly from the replay it looked like a completion... but the call stands.
Sie concole, y refz hate teh heelz?
Was kinda shocked that Georgia shot up to #6 in the polls. Guess Gurley-man (and possibly the #3 freshman rb Chubbs) impressed the hell outta the pollsters. Works fer me man!
Looks like Clemson didn't get too down about losing to UGA last week. Final score in their game was like 73 to 7, even beating Bama's mercy-rule shutout win over Florida Atlantic.
Kinda channel surfing between games at the moment. Typing this via Wii internet channel cuz I'm too lazy to get off the couch, hehe. I love technology. If I only a beer-droid, life would be tush.

Yeah, the SC ecu game went about how I expected. SC not as good, ECU a smaller team that has more success running a spread O more than anyone seemingly.
HOLY SHIT @ the unc game. Luck, bad calls by refs, bad calls my unc's offensive coordinator(one or two REALLY bad ones), and luck.
This VA Tech OSU game though, got it on now.

Good to see an ACC team step it up. If only Miami could have beaten Louisville, then UNC would have another potentially ranked team to play.
I missed the MSU Oregon game but I was checking the score at work, MSU up for most of the game. I bet it was a good one.
Oh and Notre Dame shut out michigan 31-0, pretty good for them.
Also, I'm probably going to put some money on NCSU beating FSU parlayed with over/under.

UNC's next 4 games:
Sat, Sept 20
@
East Carolina
TBD 445 available from $82
Sat, Sept 27
@
#23 Clemson
TBD 2,346 available from $32
Sat, Oct 4
v
Virginia Tech
TBD 1,773 available from $49
Sat, Oct 11
@
#16 Notre Dame
3:30 PM ET Buy on StubHub
Sat, Oct 18
VA Tech will be ranked after their win(they were ranked ~38th, mainly due to limited data, and just beat #8 ohio state). So, it's ECU, who is a solid opponent, then 3 ranked teams in a row...
Damn the big 10 got owned yesterday. VA Tech over ohio state, notre dame shutting out michigan(first time michigan hasn't put a point on the board since 1988), and Oregon over MSU, although the latter was somewhat expected and MSU made it a good game.
Oh and, I know we discussed this at some point foc..
http://www.theacc.com/#!/school/nd
technically notre dame "joined" the acc in 2013 like it shows I guess. They're just not in either division. Facing mostly ACC/independent opponents.
--
speaking of conferences, I think most would say that this is the top 5:
1. SEC
2. PAC
3. BIG 12
4. ACC
5. BIG 10
How much better is the big 12 than the ACC? How much better is the ACC than the big 10?
There's no doubt the ACC has more bad/below average teams than the big 12, but there's also 4 more teams in the ACC, 5 if you count ND. But when comparing the semi-decent and above teams, the comparison looks more like this:
ACC: Florida State, Clemson, Louisville, North Carolina, Miami, Virginia Tech, ND?
big12: Baylor, oklahoma, TCU, oklahoma state, texas, kansas state, texas tech
Seems a little closer when you forget about the bad teams the ACC has haha

Yeah its always a great day when Urban Meyer AND the Ohio State Fuckeyes lose. I'm thankful he left Florida to go there. Puts all the people I hate in one place so that when they lose, it makes it all the more enjoyable.
Seriously... Fuck Tebow and Urban Meyer. Them days are over but I still can't stand either one of them.
Dunno that the SEC is top dog around the NCAA anymore. Nobodies got a really good qb anymore, not SC, not Bama, not Georgia, not LSU, nobody. All the qb's appear to be so-so so far. But for overall average size, yeah, the SEC is still bigger and more imposing. That's just what they forced themselves into. Not really a bad thing cuz they like that in the NFL. But I don't see the SEC taking the national title this year... unless maybe Texas A&M does it, or Georgia gets INCREDIBLY lucky.
Who dat?
Saints shoulda beat Atlanta today. Falcons got lucky as fuck. I told my old lady before OT started that if New Orleans got the ball first, they'd drive it down and win it, cuz ATL's defense is HORRRRRRIBULL. JUST AWFUL! Like... reeeeeally bad. But that Colston fumble was a gift from God himself. Soooo... thanks, mister God. You're pretty cool, dude. Sorry bout all that “you don't exist” stuff. My bad.
And Tony Homo, Tony Homo, Tony Homo. Tsk tsk, son. Stooooopid throws. The worst. 3 on 1's, 2 on 1's, 1 on 1's covered like a dick in a Trojan. God damn, son, keep that shit up. I love seeing the Cowboys taking it up the butt.

Atlanta winning was good for Carolina though, Yewwwwwwwwwwwww
UNC dropped off the rankings, 21st to 27th, understandable because blake anderson is a moron and larry fedora is a homo.

Yeah. The STRANGEST thing happened too. When Atlanta came up a winner today, the post game critic dorks as well as the NBC Football Night In America dickheads all wanted to talk about what a poor job New Orleans did on defense while completely omitting any comments about how Atlanta did on defense. I mean I know when you win, the W is what really counts the most, but come the fuck on. It leads me to believe that these assholes don't even watch the fucking games they're recapping and commenting on and only watch the highlight clips they're running during the recaps. Because if they were watching the same fucking game that
I
was watching, there's NO WAY they could let it go without commenting on how piss-poor Atlanta is at defense. If you ask me, New Orleans, even though they lost the game, played better defense than Atlanta did... which is crazy, but it's true.
College...
Just checked the rankings myself. Georgia is #6 and Texas A&M is #7. I mean... I appreciate the fact that the pollsters obviously have a special place in their heart for Georgia as long as they keep winning. But apparently they're not too objective and impartial, because in my opinion, Texas A&M has done more to prove they're a complete team than Georgia has. So Georgia can run really good. Big deal. A&M was running well, passing well, and playing great defense - those last two things being things that Georgia obviously SUCKS at as far as I can see. Bah. Fuck these pollsters. Idiots one and all.
Anybody catch the Steelers game (I think it was the Steelers) where the kick returner stepped on the kickers fucking face. How fucking awesome is that shit! Penalty my ass, give that boy a fucking BONUS!

Ray Rice:
Na na na na, hey hey hey, GET THE FUCK OUT!
Dude punched his old lady out cold. I have no complaint with the Ravens decision to fire him and the NFL's decision to suspend him indefinitely... except that these fucking shitnuts should've done it a lot sooner. Kinda disappoints me that these fucking assholes wait until a video goes viral and people go apeshit en masse before they'll grow the balls to make the obvious right decision and toss him out of the NFL. They've known for months with about 90% assuredness exactly what he did. I dunno why it surprises me though, it shouldn't at this point. Michael Vick beat the shit out of, electrocuted, and killed dogs all so he could bet money on them fighting... and he's still got a job. Ray Lewis helped fucking kill some guy, but threw an assload of money at the guys family and basically bought a legally binding agreement of silence from them so he could escape murder charges... and he still had a job. With the stance the NFL seems to take on shit, I'm surprised they don't still love OJ Simpson. Afterall, in a court of law he was found not guilty of murder.
