I just had a thought...

You know how certain people are pissed off and wanting the Washington Redskins to change their name because it's racist towards a minority group? I propose that we change the name to the Washington Whiteskins... and then see what happens. Both start with a W, so it's a catchy name and rolls off the tongue well. But I suspect that once someone were to change the name to "Whiteskins", oddly enough, at that point it would become an entirely different kind of racist. Instead of the name being racist towards whites, these same people would then be upset that the name is supposedly giving preferential treatment to people with white skin over people of color.

So you tell me... exactly where is this "racism" originating from? From the actual name itself, or from the warped minds of those who want to believe that it has inherent racist connotations?

According to PredictionMachine.com, the Predictalator (probably a distant relative of mine) has predicted that the Denver Broncos will beat the Seattle Seahawks in the SuperBowl this year.

Um. I'd like to challenge that call, please.



At this point, it's hard as hell to tell who's gonna be the top contenders in the NFL this year. But I'm gonna go ahead and assert that the Denver Broncos DO NOT win the SuperBowl this year. Neither will the Seahawks. I won't say WHO will win, that's just impossible to predict at this point. But I will go ahead and throw out there my belief that the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills will no longer be the bottom bitches this year. Especially Buffalo. From what I've seen in week1 of preseason, Buffalo looks like they've actually acquired the beginnings of a decent offense. They've got a couple of good WR's, a good HB, EJ Manuel is a half decent QB. Dunno about their O-line, but they seem to be competent.

And the word so far is that Hoyer is "supposed" to be the starting QB for the Browns, but I think they're just blowing smoke. I think they have every intention of making Johnny Manziel the starter QB for game 1 of the regular season, they just wanna make him work harder in preseason and make him think he has to earn it first. Because... DUDE... They'd be crazy to pick Hoyer over Manziel.

But a LOT of great rookies are coming aboard this year, and a lot of people have been traded all over the place, so this season should be more interesting and surprising than last year I think.

Ready for regular season to kick off. DO IT TO IT!!!

If Hoyer has a bad pre-season, Manziel will probably get the week one start.  If Hoyer plays well in the pre-season, he will be the starting QB until he has a bad game or they lose a couple (even if he plays well).  It won't be long before Manziel is the starting QB, it all depends on the team's play.

Well... that would make sense, I'll concede to that. After all, we're talking about the Browns. If they ain't fucking shit up for themselves, they ain't doing their job. So yeah, it'd make sense that they'd start off the season with Hoyer losing games for them, then roll out Johnny Football and win just enough to give Cleveland hopes of making the playoffs but still be a mere 1 win short of it... like starving homeless bums with their faces pressed against the glass of a restaurant window.

As UNC has improved, they've tried to set us up for a more challenging schedule in the years to come, like the opener against SC last season(unc plays them again next season). This sort of sucks though, thought this was going to happen:

There's very few "bad" teams, but it's just loaded with average teams. I'm not even sure who our toughest opponent will be after Clemson losing a few stars

if Carolina gets their shit together this season(preseason ranks them as the 2nd strongest team after FSU), they could go 9-2 I bet. Maybe I'll see a number on the left side of "N. Carolina" for a change, haha.
