Call me a calloused asshole, but I didn't really feel all that sad from that episode like I was probably supposed to. The episode where Lori died and Judith was born was sadder in my opinion. More or less I found myself actually glad that she executed that little cunt. I got the feeling that eventually that little idiot was gonna kill someone, especially after almost smothering the baby. Furthermore, the story doesn't explicitly say it, at least not up to the point where I'm at (just finished s04e14), but I guess it's safe to assume that when that little bitch was feeding rats to the walkers it created an infectious strain of something that spread from the walkers to the survivors. Don't guess it really matters anymore though, the psycho kid is dead, they're outta the prison, those parts of the story are no longer essential, so I doubt the story will reveal what exactly happened. Still, that's just my theory, and for all the combined shit that little cunt was doing, she was a big liability and I was hoping sooner than later she'd be the next in line to get whacked off the show. I approve of killing children for once. :D

Nah, you wasn't supposed to feel bad for her, she deserved what she got for sure, the twisted little bitch. The deer scene was supposed to make you feel bad for Mika her sister. She was the smart one, the one that would shoot a zombie on sight but nothing living, she couldn't bring herself to kill that deer. After Lizzie was offed Carol sees that deer Mika couldn't kill and thats when you was supposed to get emotional for Mika's sake. None cared about Lizzie.

2d: this whole thread is a spoiler alert. LOL

Yeah, pretty much. And I think I'm the only one here that wasn't current with the show. Just finished watching episode 2 of the current season, so I'm up up to pace now. And coloring your text black really doesn't make it invisible, I can still clearly read it without highlighting it.

It's not like the show is getting written from scratch like Sons of Anarchy or something. It's more like Game of Thrones. From what I've read on wikipedia while trying to re-label torrented copies of episodes properly, the show is based on some kind of comic book or graphic novel thing. It said something about they already have clear landmarks laid out for another 9 or 10 seasons if they're lucky enough to last that long. Knowing that, even without ever having read these comics or graphic novels, I think it's safe to assume that Bubba Mullet ain't gonna be around for another 10 seasons or anywhere close to that. He's essential to the "current" plot, and obviously the plot is gonna have to change from season to season or else people will get uninterested in the show. Just like Governor One-Eyed Willie, eventually he's gonna have to go away to make room for a new plot development. So whatever "cure" he has is safe to assume that it won't work, and if that point isn't reached by the end of this season, it probably will be at some point next season.

Furthermore, I think it's a mistake if they plan on dragging this show out for a total of 10 or more seasons. The actors playing the characters will age too much, or might decide they no longer want to do the show. I think if they wanna tell the entire story and conclude it where it's supposed to end, they should maybe consider omitting parts or reducing the dialogue to speed it along faster. 10 seasons total would be reasonable. You look at other shows that have done famously well and are remembered for how good they were. Like The Sopranos. It ran for a total of 8 years, 6 total seasons. To explain that, season 5 was in 2004, no episodes came out in 2005, but in 2006 they started part 1 of season 6 with 12 episodes, and in 2007 they did part 2 of season with 9 final episodes. So technically it was 7 seasons in 8 years, but they call it 6 seasons, so whatever. Breaking Bad was kinda the same. It ran for a total of 5 seasons over 6 years, with the 5th season being broken down into two parts over 2 years.

People get disinterested. And I think they'd be making a mistake to stretch it out as far as they're assuming they can. They already made the mistake of casting this Chandler Riggs douche as a character as important as Carl. It worked when he was supposed to be a little sweet-faced kid back in season 1 and 2, but now that he's getting older and getting his first pubes, he's become a vital part of the story and he's a TERRIBLE fucking actor. HORRIBLE! AWFUL! I like his character I guess, but for the sake of not having to watch his piss-poor acting anymore, I hope he gets killed off before long.

The show is loosely based on a comic, but the producers and writers have all publicly stated that the television show will not follow the comic and that they have license to do whatever it is that they want. I have not read the comic, but in addition, the powers that be have already stated that they still do not know what is going to happen, so this show doesnt have a "supposed to end" ending and never will.

The only concrete information we know of from any government official is what Dr Jenner told everyone at the end of season 2; everyone is infected. The hill billy genius eugene paints a rosy picture, but his words cannot be taken for fact.

To quote the wikipedia page:
Quote
Future seasons
Executive producer David Alpert said the original comics have given them enough ideas for Rick Grimes and company over the next seven years. "I happen to love working from source material, specifically because we have a pretty good idea of what Season 10 is gonna be," Alpert said. "We know where seasons 11 and 12 [will be]... we have benchmarks and milestones for those seasons if we're lucky enough to get there."

Whenever they make a series like this, even with Game of Thrones, the producers always work it to where they will have artistic liberties. Sometimes certain aspects of the original story a show is based on might be too costly to produce, might end up becoming to costly to produce, or it just doesn't fit well within the schedule of 8 or 10 or 13 or 16 episodes for a season. And with Walking Dead, it's basically 2 seasons per "season" because one part runs in October and November, and the other part runs from February until March. So they have to end the 8th and 16th episodes of the season with some kind of large cliffhanger that will make the viewer want to continue watching later.

The only concrete information we know of from any government official is what Dr Jenner told everyone at the end of season 2; everyone is infected.

Actually, we DON'T know that, not for sure. The scientist at the CDC Atlanta never actually told anyone except Rick. It's possible that Rick could be holding something else back.

What I personally find pretty funny about the show is that all these people are supposedly FROM Georgia, yet there's barely any of them that actually SOUND like they're from anywhere even bordering Georgia. Rick is a sheriffs deputy from King County, which doesn't exist by the way. At times it kinda sounds like Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is trying to effect a southern accent, but it just sounds ridiculously forced, probably because she actually has a british accent.  ::) And Rick (Andrew Lincoln) slightly tries to have an accent most of the time, and it always sounds incredibly forced and awkward too, but it gets REALLY bad when he's hurt or angry and trying to turn up the intensity, at which point he just sounds like a drunk retard. And by the way... he's british too... that's why. Beth and Hershel were really the only two who had any kind of authentic sounding accents. Hershel's (Scott Wilson) was pretty dead on for an older guy. I guess I'd describe it as a Savannah southern drawl, kinda like Scarlet O'Hara in Gone With The Wind. Sounds a lot like some of the old farts on my mom's side of the family. Why? Well probably because he's FROM Georgia. All this I know from Wiki, btw. Beth (Emily Kinney)? Her accent is decent, but it's definitely not from Georgia. She was born in Nebraska, and she definitely has a bit more of a Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma or Texas twang. What's the difference? Well it probably all sounds the same to yankees and west coasters, and it mostly does all sound the same, but it's subtle differences in pronunciations that make it apparent to folks who live down here. If you listen to someone long enough and know what to listen for, you'll probably be able to locate their home state on a guess or at least get pretty damn close. And she ain't from Georgia, knew that before I even looked it up.

Hehe, ask DS, he'll tell you. I think he was from Florida originally and then moved to Texas. It's still twang, just two different twangs.

You missed the point. The one I wrote in plain english. ::)

Before the CDC went up in flames, he whispered something into Rick's ear before he ran out. He could've said MORE than "everyone is infected" and Rick just isn't telling yet. My point was that he didn't tell EVERYONE, just Rick.

Pretty voice??? Pfft I call bullshit on that one. You just got a semi stiffy when you thought Darrel was going to de-flower that young virgin gash and then got super disappointed when she got kidnapped knowing these ass holes are having their way with her robbing you of getting to see Darrel take that. :lolsign:

What I personally find pretty funny about the show is that all these people are supposedly FROM Georgia, yet there's barely any of them that actually SOUND like they're from anywhere even bordering Georgia.

In one of the early episodes, the camera briefly included a dealer sticker near the door of their motorhome, which indicated, "DON HYATT WINNEBAGO MOTOR HOMES, INC."

Out of curiosity I'd googled it, expecting to find it had come from just about any location besides where the show was supposed to take place.

But nope, Don Hyatt Winnebago is listed as a Georgia corporation, formed in 1972 and dissolved in 2001.

So at least they got that right. ;)

I think they've been shooting the show in different places in Georgia all along. I know right now there's some town southwest of Atlanta that's basically been entirely taken over and fenced off as part of the set. I forget the name of the place though. So they probably bought the RV from somebody locally. Supposedly the show has increased tourism and revenue for those counties by like 1000% or something ridiculous, and TONS of local folks are used as extras/zombies.

I didn't ever notice that decal watching the show, but the name does sound familiar. Probably heard radio commercials for it years ago.

Sunday's episode was brutal. It looks like the writers are determined to navigate through plots much quicker than in seasons past. Already, the clan has escaped terminus, and defeated the cannibal clan twice.

Also, for the amount of time and bonding glen and maggie had with rick and the rest of the crew, they did not exhibit much emotion when they left with sergeant jackass to dc on the bus. I was a little surprised at this, and also surprised at how gruesome the deaths of the cannibal clan were. I would say that for the first time I felt a little uneasy with Rick's decision to kill these people.

Sure they  ate people, but so did the Donner family and others in time's past. Garrett is right when he suggested that Rick had never really been through "real hunger" and it should be interesting if in the future, starvation becomes a factor in the storyline.

Darrell's return during the episode cliffhanger was very unusual. I have no idea how to read this situation, but it definitely appeared as though darrell may have been under hidden duress or accompanied by something very cryptic.

This season has definitely earned an unpredictability award and remains my top watch of the week.  still #1

Futhermore, you keep saying "occupation". It's not an occupation.

Probably heard radio commercials for it years ago.

you gotta get yourself as an extra, so the spleeners will have something to rave about.

This season has definitely earned an unpredictability award and remains my top watch of the week.  still #1

Yea the plot hole with maggie never mentioning beth is kinda rediculous. also the bond with the group was odd but there was a reason for it. They made a deal at the church to help the rest of the group if commando abraham & his group stayed longer to help out. They are people of their word. They still try to hold themselves to a higher standard. (probably because of dale's past interjections) The deaths of the cannibal clan don't leave me second guessing anything. They deserved that brutality. The other guy mike threatened the baby, while with tyreese.

Garreth also stated they were going to get everyone in that church. He had no qualms whatsoever with annihilating even the baby in the process. They ate bob's leg while still alive and taunted him. so yea there are plenty of reasons why they did what they did.

Daryl is also a hunter, also can be seen through various parts of season 2 hunting animals for the entire party.. so that's a lame excuse for not feeling hunger and having no options.

The Daryl Cliffhanger is interesting. it could go either way. i think he got himself surrounded by a group of outsides IMO, there were a couple of indicators but i very well could be wrong. it could just be beth and they need to rescue carol. The season is definately interesting, and has a bit less filler episodes thus far   ;D
