The Walking Dead:  The most watched drama in basic cable history!!!!

Waking up in an empty hospital after weeks in a coma, County Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) finds himself utterly alone. The world as he knows it is gone, ravaged by a zombie epidemic. The Walking Dead tells the story of the weeks and months that follow after the apocalypse. Based on Robert Kirkman's hugely successful and popular comic book series, AMC's The Walking Dead is an epic, edge-of-your-seat drama where personal struggles are magnified against a backdrop of moment-to-moment survival. A survivalist story at its core, the series explores how the living are changed by the overwhelming realization that those who survive can be far more dangerous than the mindless walkers roaming the earth. They themselves have become the walking dead.

Now in Season 3,  Entertainment Weekly called the show the "greatest thriller ever produced for television'.

In the highly anticipated new season, survivors continue to seek refuge in a desolate and post-apocalyptic world and soon discover that there are greater forces to fear than just the walking dead. The struggle to survive has never been so perilous.

Season 3 also introduces new characters, including the Governor (David Morrissey) and fan-favorite Michonne (Danai Gurira), along with her zombie pets.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, The Walking Dead stars Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, IronE Singleton, Melissa McBride, Morrissey and Gurira. The series is executive produced by showruner Glen Mazzara, Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert with Greg Nicotero, Denise Huth and Evan Reilly as co-executive producers.

The Walking Dead reigns as the most watched drama series on basic cable for Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54. The series has garnered two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Prosthetic Make-up, a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Television Series - Drama, and a WGA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Writing Derivative New Media, among other accolades.

there's a marathon of the walking dead this week, starting at 8pm eastern every night until this Sunday leading up to the finale. New comers that like anything from zombies and vampires or just survivalist gurus, should watch.

Wouldn't call it trash, but it's definitely over-hyped to all hell. Can't go a day without someone saying how fucking great this show is.

Most zombie flicks I thought I've seen were subpar or terrible, so I didn't have high hopes while watching this show but it really is good IMO, even though it is over hyped and discussed. EPIC SEASON 3 FINALE

Truly one of the best shows to ever hit television!




Im not going to talk details for those of you who have not seen it yet, but there were many major deaths in the finale, an AWESOME WAR, questions of morality and so much more.

Each season has been better than the last, and my only hope for this show is for the producers and writers work towards continuing this path. The infinite possibilities can and should be developed!!!

yea, it was a good finale. leaves alot of unanswered questions though. perhaps this will be the final season and they will move closer to the "cure" and rediscover civilization once again. or not. who knows.
