I hate when people call me "boss".

I usually assume someone who is calling me "boss" has done time in prison.

Got a new pc the other week. Bought it on Amazon, an iBuyPower brand gaming pc, cheap little budget model thing. Across several different models, saw reviews where people said things like "wouldn't work when it arrived" or "one of the 3 RGB fans won't light up" or something. But I needed a PC, and I didn't have money for anything else (used gift cards from doing online surveys to buy this thing), so it was the cheapest and best option.

To my surprise, when it showed up, it was in great shape. Everything worked like it should, it even came with the nicer looking and better cooling AMD stealth CPU fan rather than the generic little piece of crap that was pictured in the Amazon ad.

2 weeks later... 240gb Adata brand green label (su630) SSD drive that came with it apparently died right in the middle of copying a movie file from my download folder to the desktop.

Yeah, kinda bummed that a brand new hard drive just died like that, but not my main gripe here. Sometimes you get a dud hard drive, it happens.

(side note: Hell, I bought 2 consecutive bad PSU's earlier this year. Old PSU fan had old worn out bearings and was making noise. Got an EVGA brand one, that fan was bad, making noise. Took it back, got the EXPENSIVE modular one, fan bearings in that one was bad too, making noise. So I just kept it, and eventually the noise went away. *shrugs* Fuck it. )

As for the new iBuyPower pc...

Right after I got it and I set it up, some part of the setup directed me to an iBuyPower webpage where they had an offer for 30 dollars in Amazon or iBuyPower gift cards if you left three different 5-star reviews for the product on these three different marketplace websites (Amazon, and 2 others I forget).

That shit's supposed to be strictly forbidden for Amazon sellers to do with reviews! Kinda pisses me off that a company does that. They aren't the only PC builder on Amazon doing that either. (Some other builder called SkyTech I think does that as well, saw a youtube video about it)

Anyway, moral of the story, don't trust items with lots of 5-star ratings on any website. READ the individual reviews. The ones that are really brief and say, "It's good, very happy with purchase.", meh, completely disregard. Read the BAD ones, they're honest. Read the LONG ones, they're probably honest. The rest is smurfed up garbage.
