Oh yeah, just to clarify: when I said "piss on YOUR religion", the hate is not directed at the reader, just the religion. I suck at being clear while flaming.

And Jesus may very well love me, and it doesn't stir any boiling pot of mine when that is said. Historically speaking, I acknowledge his existence and good intentions toward mankind. It's just that basing a moral structure off of his past being seems to cause conflict to this day...

I hate Coke Zero. My old lady's been buying this shit, and at first, I liked it. I thought it tasted a helluva lot better than the Diet Coke. So before long, we quite buying the regular Coke altogether and only had this sitting in the pantry for our cola fix. But I dunno what happened, either they all the sudden changed the formula and didn't tell nobody or... maybe it's just ME... but it tastes like fucking ASS now. It's AWFUL. HORRIBLE! It tastes like just barely cola flavored industrial chemicals. It don't taste like anything a human being should be drinking for any reason.

I forbid her from buying anymore of it. Not that I needed to. She agreed with me that it tastes like washed dogshit. So instead of getting regular Cokes again, she's been hauling home more of the old Diet Coke bullshit for her and regular old Dr. Pepper for me. But I've still got most of a 24 pack of Coke Zero left in the pantry. I don't wanna throw em out and waste money, so I put a couple in the fridge to entice myself to hopefully drink em up before long and get em gone.

So I go in the kitchen a minute ago and open the fridge to get a drink. I see Dr. Pepper sitting there saying "DRINK ME! YOU LIKE ME! I'M GOOD!" and I say, "Nah, I'm gonna try to swill down one of these Coke Zero's to help get rid of em. I mean how bad could it possibly taste. It's still Coke, right? It won't make me vomit. I'll be fine." I pop the top, I take a sip... GOD DAMMIT!!! THIS TASTES LIKE SHIT!!!

That is exactly the way it happened with me.  I never liked Diet Coke, but Coke Zero was not to bad, almost like Coke.
Over time it began to suck more and more. 
To get rid of those Coke Zeros, maybe mix them with some regular Coke or use them in a mixed drink.  They definitely need something to help mask the bad taste.

I second that. I had an ex-girlfriend who always drank Diet Dr Pepper and nothing else, so when I moved in with her for a while, I got to drinking them too. Shit fell apart, I moved out, and still drank it a lot. Then all of the sudden one day I guess I just reached that diet soda threshold level where something just clicked and from then on Diet Dr Pepper just tasted like a concoction of industrial chemicals with a drink label on it.

I've probably only bought 3-4 individual sodas in the past year or two, and only for mixing, and primarily because someone else wanted a mixer. I've never even approached a threshold....

My favorite soda period for the taste is probably fresca though. I was just referring to the diet drink that I think steals the least flavor from the original.

I'm not a fan of Dr. Pepper so it only makes sense that a diet version of a drink you don't really like would suck, so it is probably just me.

For a good soda,  I recommend birch beer.

Only time I really get pop is at my folks house, or if we are having some kind of party,  or at a restaurant.  At most once a week.

On the subject of hate,  I hate when establishments don't have the ratio right on their dispensers.  Sweet  enough to make me sick, or watered down too much.  I've calibrated enough of them to appreciate when it's done properly.

I hate Coke Zero. But I love what my Mausers 762 rounds does to them at 100 yards. I had 16 cans. It took 21 rounds to hit them all. So it just cost me about 30 bucks to get rid of it. Pouring it down the sink would've been cheaper but not nearly as fun. I seriously gotta look into reloading my own cartridges. Ammo for this thing ain't easy to come by around here OR cheap.
