That my friend, is where we differ.  I don't need people to praise my opinion for it to be viable, and I don't claim to have some higher knowledge that is so "unattainable".   Since you seem to take this very seriously, let's back up a bit.   What do you hope to accomplish with this thread?   You've made it very clear how "superior" you are to everyone else, so put that superiority to work and write down a "mission statement" for this thread.

While you do that, I'll email David and see if he cares.   Little guess here: He won't know who I am, nor care what's being discussed in this thread.

Clearly you don't need praise if you persist thinking non-viable opinions are viable. You also put unattainable in quotes, further demonstrating your willingness to take things out of context being that I didn't say that. Then again, you wouldn't even know what I said being that you were one of the several people who neglected to follow my 3 or so posts telling people how to approach this thread. You have played this card because there is nothing you can now say...and I actually don't care, hence why I haven't felt any need whatsoever to correct you or others with blatant misinformation. The same scenario with welkin being a little misinformed about a thing or two, in which I chose to take up with him in PM. Why? because I know people like you care so much, that you will play some card like I am making myself out to be superior and pretend like it's my point. And that makes complete, 100% sense being that as I said, you were one of the several people that completely ignored my suggestions 3-4 posts regulating how to approach this thread.  I'll give YOU a hint though: you've been agreeing with welkin for the wrong reasons. just out of interest, that pak that has the hit damage thing were it tells you how much life someone has. Would that be considered an advantage? and are these banned from EDL matches or not?

in videos in this thread are used 2 pak's - David.pl and nail.se and both have changed health sounds but they are not 'original'
health sound have origin from purri.pak at least 10 years old (dunno real origin HOR clan pak or squx.pak- purri tm)
EDIT: checked! 2002 health sounds r from Cowboy pak (both used same sounds and both used modified male model for both players instead male/female) 'modified' male model = HOR model with wave animation blocked, as 'protection' against annoying players who used wave alias in games

 in EDL according to q2scene hash 2.0 list used on servers changed sounds are not forbidden (only models/items/players are locked but all sound changes are allowed)

imho more advantage in duel u have with terrible r1q2 sound bug and changed steps sound like David (David's stop sound r not loudest i heard checking other players pak's)

demos vs IsBjorn r not proof of your true skill its just joke about yours and welk 'blaster skill' and 'same q2 understanding'
but demos r proof of IsBjorn great shape in that time even playing with annoying 'stock quake2'
pity NADL went down that season
but IsBjorn had great start in EDL 9: he won all group stage games (lost only one map = same as Damiah in EDL 3 )
and then IsBjorn went in Thailand... (same as this season)

and for sure IsBjorn will play any maps vs you on any server
since i 'find him' on Ergo Gibbus servers 6 years ago IsBjorn become my favorite new school player
and he never refused to come on any server to play any 'weird' map against blubb* and me

about EDL 10 LB and q2dm2 purri vs IsBjorn: i was amused reading purri 'story' how he played this EDL on top of his shape
1st sign of purri bad shape: hes not playing q2dm1 - his most played and best map
2nd IsBjorn was kinda sure purri would drop q2dm2 but most ppl  remember how purri won EDL 1 in 2x bo5 GF games by greatest comeback in history of EDL on match1 but they forget purri actually won 2x q2dm2 in GF
so q2dm3 and q2dm2 was safe bet for purri vs IsBjorn who never 'mastered' q2dm3 but he is pretty decent on it lately

it was the real vo0 i watched his 2nd game of q2 ever the other day. according to vo0 his game against careem was the 2nd time he had ever played q2. was a close game. the first game he played i caught the tail end of it and smashed some guy 60-1

plz VoO played whole afternoon and evening til that game vs shepter (aka vali form Romania who is rly decent and polite guy but his shape is same as i would dare to say Armor here (who playing with same 'skill' last 6 years as i 'know him'))

btw VoO playing with terrible purri graphics/sound pak ( at least hes not using mouse2 for +attack as purri do )

muerte: the last time I played isbjorn it was a really close game in usa(him pulling it off at the last second on dm1...)and I was ALSO using 'annoying "stock q2" ' against him / gl_coloredlightmaps "1" .. it was before I started using the pak I really like...

in the NADL season, I was on a 12 year old cpu that didn't even give me a stable 40-60 fps even when I was using cl_particles 0, gl_mode 1, gl_picmip 3-4 , gl_coloredlightmaps 1/stock q2/15 inch LCD/mouse with no driver installed etc.... not to mention that was when I lived in the middle of nowhere, my best ping to any server was tourney4 @ 55ms, and the route taking 19 stops along the way to get there. You act as if I was saying "at 2.5 years ago, I raped everyone on usa servers" when I said "name a USA player who has beaten me the past 2x they have played me"... the past 2x playing someone is indicative of where i'm at currently, and I certainly wouldn't have made that statement 2+ years ago... I don't know what led you to think that I was claiming to own a euro player on a totally unplayable setup/connection. I guess you took offense since he's your favorite player?

to assist with the comparison...

back then I was on a setup that anyone would consider unplayable, i'd give up a lot / just screw around(see isbjorn NADL match). I do the same thing in other games with a laggy HD tv or something else that's deliberately inconveniencing play style... btw; I have never even played in a tournament/league in q2 with decent settings, a decent setup, and a decent connection.
