I've been to a cool show friday. Aborted from belgian opened with a solid set. Then Despised Icon from Montreal played which was also very good. Then Vader from Poland played. The music was good but the drum was played with triggers that sounded like a beat box...which is not what I want to hear in a death metal band. Cryptopsy were supposed to headline this show but they went after vader as suffocation had van troubles and were not there yet. I don't really like cryptopsy, their drummer, Flo, is impressive no doubt about that but they should learn how to compose good songs instead of trying to display their technical abilities only.

And to close the show, Suffocation. Man those guys are awesome. I'm glad they were the ones closing this show as it made me leave on a positive note, which wouldn't have been the case with cryptopsy. I've seen suffocation like 3 times in the last year and a half and they ruled all those times. Impressive guitar works, good drumming and killer vocal from Frank Mullen. If you like death metal and you see suffocation playing near your town, you have to go, that's as simple as that.

Nah he didn't do shit. I could have decked him even while drunk. He's always too much of a chicken shit to try anything, so I just push him around. It's great.
