Unless you're old and/or boring. DJs add an extra perspective to the music (in some instances). But like I said, I'm not a big Slipknot fan, if at all (contrary to my avatar).

I have seen/heard numerous bands with djs, and I have yet to see one where the DJ actually contributes anything valuable. Scratching has never worked with very many types of music, especially metal. Synths are hard enough to incorporate into a metal song, but scratching is almost impossible, given how non musical and free form it is, which is more or less the opposite of metal. It's kind of like mixing Parlaiment/Funkadelic with Dying Fetus. It just wouldn't work.
i think cornhead's musical perspective is skewed.. he just listens to shit music
In all fairness guys, he introduced me to listening to DevilDriver and Three Doors Grace, and theyre goooooooood bands
i wasnt saying your choice in music was bad, far be it from me to impose upon your own preferance.. only that it is shitty processed music, and "south african" and "rock" should never be used in the same sentance
IS anyone liking AFI here?
GWAR would never do that to me.
BalSac has more guitar skillz than you.
