I've never been one to be much into playlists.  I'll occasionally queue up a few songs in a row, but generally when I'm listening to music, I'm sitting at my computer, so I can easily just search through my MP3 folders for whatever other song I'm in the mood for.

I listen to almost everything music wise.  From Disturbed, Shinedown, & Staind, to SheDaisy, Keith Urban, Sara Evans, and lots of other country stuff, to RATM, Coldplay, Classical, 80's stuff, Avril Lavigne.

I listen to electronic/techno the least, then rap/hip-hop almost as rarely.  But I do have a few songs of each category.  But generally I like good vocals, or at least some good lyrics, and don't find them often in those 2 genre's.



Don't think this is the kinda thread that people will go through each persons likes/dislikes, moreso just to post what you like for whatever reason (like I have =P).  But I have a question or a request  -



Especially for those who dislike "Pop" music, define what "pop" music is, and why you don't like it.  If you do like, feel free to share your definition too.  More interested in a good reason why those hard line anti-pop people seem to not find any "pop" music appealing.

I dislike pop music for the reason that it doesent appeal to me, pop is just another classification or genre, its hard to define pop ill give it that but when a person who dislikes pop or likes pop hears some pop, they just know. can you define pop? Its just something you either like or dont i guess

I got a Morbid Angel album the otehr day and I can't stop listening to it.

I also can't stop listening to Fear Factory, no matter what anyone says, their music is brilliant. They have to be one of the tightest bands ever. System of a Down are also great, they do a lot of things that are sort of out of fashion in rock and metal these days, like vocal harmonies and using dynamics, instead of playing at the same temp and intensity the whole time.

I saw devildriver opening for Suffocation...I thought they were horrible and I wanted to get out of there but then again...I acn go through a lot of pain to see suffocation.

I think they play pretty standard metalcore, not my cup of tea. But then again I'm sure you don't care much what I think about the bands you like. 

You should listen to many bands in my list and you'd see that devildriver's guitars and drums can be beat and mots of the bands I listed beat that easily in my opinion.
