Man, I wish I could find a clip of the ending of the Mets-Braves game tonight.
Well ESPN.com had a little video accompanying the story, dunno how long it'll be viewable on the page though. Check this retarded shit out.

It was a balk but that was a pretty sad way to win a game. Dale Murphy was the man back then, I can't believe he has not come close to making the Hall of Fame.

Verlander has some of the nastiest stuff in the league. When he is on, he is almost un-hittable.

Jesus man. What the fuck happened to your Florida Marlins? They were doing okay up through April and May and then the calendar rolled over to June and have had the worst luck imaginable. They've only won ONE game so far this month, currently on a 10 game losing streak. That has to suck IMMENSELY for any big Marlins fan that had hopes of making the playoffs after holding the 2nd place spot in the division not too long ago. Shit, any hopes of taking a wild card spot are damn near out of reach now. Only way they have a chance is if Atlanta catches whatever disease it is they have that makes them always come up short. And it really wouldn't take much bad luck for Atlanta to be in the same boat. Wins aren't coming easy for the Braves, they've gotta earn the living shit out of every last run they get, ain't nobody giving us any freebies. I think Atlanta is over .500 right now, and really the only thing making that so is having really good win streaks at the first of last month and this month. Other than those 2 streaks of 5 or 6 wins in a row, they've only been stringing the W's together 2 at a time and then following them up with 2 or 3 L's.

Marlins dropping like a rock, that is one less team for Atlanta to have to worry about.

College World Series - The SEC is 5-1 so far, the only loss was Vandy losing to Fla.
Vandy is winning tonight 5-1 in the 7th. If Vandy holds on, the final 4 teams will have 3 SEC teams

I think I said it in that other thread, but I'd probably put my money on Vanderbilt winning it all. Although... losing to Florida... didn't expect that. Florida's got a good roster, but I was thinking Vanderbilt was a little better at bat. Haven't really watched any of the games, just small pieces of a few of them. Florida looks pretty tough though, maybe they can take Vandy. Watched Virginia a little bit this weekend at my brother in laws, he's University of Vaginia asslumnus, so anytime they do worth a shit, he's gotta watch it. Yeah, he gives me shit about UGA, but it ain't like Virginia's football team does anything amazing either, so fuck him.

Hey! Guess what! Dan "Ugly Swing" Uggla got a homerun last night! It's a sign of the apocalypse or something!
Now he can go back to batting less than .100 for the next 3 weeks.

I tried to find a clip of Braves pitcher Tim Hudson tripping on the mound last night and doing a barrel roll out towards home plate, but ESPN didn't decide to include it in the highlights. Funniest shit I've seen in a while. It's too bad MLB is so anal retentive about people reproducing broadcasts, otherwise it would probably be all over Youtube.

Braves won again tonight, they now have the second best record in baseball - but are in second place in their division because Philly has the best record in baseball
