Please do. He missed another barely bouncing grounder tonight to start off the Mets on their scoring. It was beginning to look like it was gonna end 6 to 0 but Brian McCann solo homered one in the 6th or 7th, and then we got a 3 run homer in the 9th to make it 6 to 4. A valiant effort I suppose, but like always, too little too late. Seriously. The Mets are an inferior team. This should have been 3 easy wins for Atlanta, what the fuck man.

Yea, McCann seems to be their only offense lately
Florida will be tough, especially playing at home. I would like to see Atlanta get a win streak going but it is not looking good.

McCann's a decent hitter lately, so is Freddie Freeman, and so is the new guy Jordan Shaefer. Luckily it wasn't anything serious with that deflected bunt to the face, so he's back in. Eric Hinkse is one thick massive bastard, and he isn't getting that many hits for bases right now, but on the rare occasion he does connect with a pitch, he's been knocking them for homers. Last I saw, Florida was 1 game ahead of Atlanta in the NL East in 2nd, and 3 games behind Philly. So yeah, if we lose all 3 to Florida (which wouldn't surprise me at allĀ
), then that'll inch you guys a little closer to Philly. I don't expect Philly to lose their next three though so it'll take a week or two more of some good playing and good luck to overtake them.

For the record, I may live in FL but Atlanta will always be my team. Like I said earlier, it sucks because the local TV stations quit carrying the Braves once Florida had its own team. I want to follow the Braves, but because I hardly ever get to see them play, my enthusiasm has faded over time. The state wanted to cut everyone off from the teams they were following hoping over time people would adopt the new team as there own. That never happened for me, it just pissed me off

Wow, was that a stupid fucking game or what? 1 to nothing, are you fucking kidding me!?! Braves only get 2 hits and 1 run all game long, and the faggot (bundle of sticks) Gonzalez is the one to knock it out. Glad I only caught the game from the 6th until the finish. I'd be pissed at myself for wasting my time watching that snoozer all the way through.

Braves stepped up in Miami and beat the Marlins
Gonzalez is picking it up lately, he has 3 more RBI's so far tonight and the Braves are beating Houston 9-2 in the 6th.

Yeah, I was
stunned
. 4 homers by 4 different Braves batters, 2 of em back to back. Freddie Freeman hit one damn near into the doorway leading out to the 2nd level seats in right field, just crushed the guts out of it. I was thinking they'd get only 1 or 2 runs across home all game long. I figured they'd get clobbered for a loss tonight with Tim Hudson on the mound, he's been pitching like crap since he came back from injury a week and a half ago against San Diego. But yeah, good show tonight. Still 2 games behind Philly though, I think they ended up beating Chicago Cubs by 2 tonight.

Phillies ftw!! Cliff Lee on the mound tonight...Ā Ā just need to score a few runs for him! Florida next after Cubs.Ā Ā
Phillies are not playing well this month but still leading MLB. If they start hitting it'll be over quickly.
Good luck boysĀ Ā Ā

I dunno, if they can get Dan Uggla connecting on a few at bats, it'll really help a lot. Jason Heywards out on injury, dunno when he's coming back or IF he's coming back. Alex Gonzalez has been keeping himself from pissing me the fuck off for the past several games, even knocked a pair of homers out. Things look like they may finally be starting to get into gear for Atlanta. Another W tonight at Houston in extra innings. That makes 5 in a row now.

Man, I wish I could find a clip of the ending of the Mets-Braves game tonight. Braves were down by 6 to 8 in the bottom of the 9th with one man on when Brooks Conrad hits a homer to drive both runs in and tie it up. Next up to bat was Brian McCann who ended up hitting one maybe 3 feet shy of a homer to the deepest part of center field. Anyway, it went to the bottom of the 10th, Braves at bat, Joe Mather on 3rd base, Jordan Shaffer on 1st, Jason Heyward at bat, 2 outs,... and then... the pitcher for the Mets (I forget his name) gets called for a balk, automatically sending the man on 3rd to home to win the game.
I HATE that shit. Man, it was
barely
even worth calling him for a balk too, that's why I wish I had a clip of it to show off, it was so ridiculous. The pitcher was bent over looking at the catcher getting the call for the pitch and just ever so slightly moved his shoulder. He could've been cutting a fart, it was
that
slight of a motion. I remember back in 80's when I was kid and going to a game in the old Atlanta Braves stadium that ain't there anymore, back in the days when Dale Murphy was still playing. I forget who they were playing, it was so long ago, but the pitcher for the other team actually moved the ball in his pitching hand in a throwing motion like he was going to try to pick off the guy leading off of 1st base and he never even threw the ball... and THAT was called a balk. I can see shit like THAT getting called, but this shit tonight was just ridiculous.
I guess we needed the win though, Atlanta's already lost their last 3 games and haven't had more than a 3 game losing streak all year long, so I'm glad to see the 4 game losing streak getting avoided, but it's still quite disappointing to see what was turning out to be a close and exciting game end in such an anti-climactic fashion. Wins like that aren't very satisfying to me.
