lol you don't know aussies then. seriously i have tried to talk to r1ch about on irc, and what p[issed me off the most was that it had to be my computer, didn't entertain the fact that his anticheat could be the damn problem, and has really offered no help as to try and get it sorted

well it would be YOUR computer... because your computer is having a problem with anticheat

doesnt mean there is anything wrong with your computer, it means there is a problem with your computer running anticheat

doubt that because i ran ac for months on end without any problems whatsoever (since i was first in RB, so however long ago that was). i have changed nothing on my pc since that time apart from getting my new graphics card, which i have updated all drivers for. also the fact i see others dropping out aswell on a more regualr basis, even yesterday the servers themselves lost connection to the ac server like 2 or 3 times in the space of an hour or so, maybe quadz can look into that idk. but no i doubt it is my computer

anticheat runs fine for most people still, so it would be something on your computer conflicting with it some how, exactly what that is could be anything really... but its still your computer

perhaps you should figure out what everyone thats having frequent crashes lately has in common

Like Vae said, you or rich or anyone having problems need to see if their is a common factor that could be causing the problem. You got a new Video card, did anyone else who is having trouble get new hardware

Just something to think about.

could be anything.... skin/texture/sound from a pak, dll running that has nothing to do with q2, antivirus, av settings, firewall settings, background processes, os version, windows patch, directx/opengl version, specific nvidia driver, specific gpu or gpu architecture... use your imagination, there is hundreds of variables running in a modern os

the closer to q2 it is the more likely it is that it could cause a problem though... a file inside a pak such as a sound or a texture could drive anticheat nuts to a point where both ac and r1q2 crash though, so you might want to look into that

just also wanted to confirm something else, is it normal for anticheat to spread to other places on your pc? everytime i run a scan ac pops up 6 different places on my computer, its not just detected in my q2 folder. here are pictures confirming this, and yes i download ac from antiche.at

actually yea they are, thats what avira detects them as. i scan with avira without having ac on my system they r not there, i download ac fresh and put it in my q2 folder i scan and the same 6 files come up. download avira and see for yourself

turn off system restore and delete all restore points

Derrr... it's not that I don't "believe" you. It's just that this is not the fault of anticheat.

Those files represent previous versions of some DLL file (maybe anticheat.dll, maybe not), archived by Windows into a restore point.

ok ok i have deleted all my restore points, infact i had a fair few as it turns out taking up alot of room, so i have deleted and switched it off. ok so thats fixed that. all i need to do now is find out why i am crashing with ac loaded
