mate i am tearing whats left of my hair out. over the past 2 weeks r1q2 keeps crashing, it drops out in the middle of a game, no error message is givin, it has never done this before. Please fix this bullshit because its fucking frustrating. I am not the only one experiencing these crashes, others are experiencing THE EXACT SAME THING! so i know it is not my connection or my computer.

1. Which version of r1q2 are you running (in the lower right corner of the console, i.e. b7904, or...?)

2. Do the crashes still occur, if you remove anticheat.dll from your Q2 folder?

it has r1q2 b7904 and i haven't tried it without ac but yeah its only been happening for the past 2 weeks, never had a problem before this apart from when i was using xfire which i haven't for a long time. But other players have said they are experiencing the same thing. drop outs without error messages

I have to admit, the same thing is happening to me.  Before Dec 12th this had never happened while using r1q2.

I'll be playing as usual and the monitor will go blank and it returns to the desktop with no error message at all.

There is no crash report in event viewer either.

u need a client to run anticheat as far as i know and aprq2 and q2pro are both shit

haven't been playing the best lately, although i beat gaudeamus last night 1 on 1 on irtdm. we had some close good games

Well, so your r1q2.exe hasn't changed.  What might have changed in the past 2 weeks?

1. anticheat.dll, maybe

2. some funky update to your anti-virus software, maybe

3. ???

I'd suggest removing anticheat.dll temporarily, for diagnostic purposes, and see if the crashes stop.

ok i will try that. maybe for a day or 2. just won't be able to connect to irtdm cause i have to have ac loaded to play there. wouldn't be my av cause i switch it off when i am playing q2, cause even though its in exception list avira still stops it from loading when i load r1q2

I'll try removing the ac module and see what happens.
