already have that set, and doesn't gl_polyblend only stop u from flashing when u r recieving damage? or does it also stop weapons from flashing

nope it doesn't. it only changes the light for the map. its cl_lights 0 and it stopped the lines from comming through when i use the chaingun

the command you are talking about is not gl_coloredlightmaps.
its gl_polyblend 0 - The pallet blending effect is used while being injured, using a powerup, or under water. It might be beneficial to disable this effect to see clearly in water, but then if the player is being injured he won't know it.

So far, apparently "everyone" means you, and sortof astral, except he says the crashes occur without AC as well.

Well after looking further into things I found a couple trojans, plus many trackers and updaters on my system.  I have since cleaned them and will restart the testing of r1q2 and see if this solved the issue.

I have a feeling it will, but let me try and see.

Now I know why Vae has not had any of these problems.  Vae has never seen or had a trojan and will probably never have a need for one either

i think i may have found the problem. i saw something weird bing flooded in the background of my console but couldn't see it, i died in a strange place on a map and i could see "bad backcon" being flooded in my console. i have removed the backcon pic from my pak, would that have caused any type of crash?
