OMG Daemia...its a Minnesota\Wisconsin accent. They have a large Scandanavian population that keeps the old country accent alive. Anyway I liked everybody's performance in that. Not sure how close it was to the actual event but the comic touch worked.

wellllll........
Since I live in Minnesota, and only 45 minutes from Brainerd,
the accents were close - albeit a bit over the top but very very very very close - the directors - the Coen Brothers went to high school with some friends of mine so yeah they are total Minnesotans. btw I grew up only a few minutes from there too
Not sure about the facts of the true story but it did make for one helluva great movie -
i love the facte that alot of Minnesotans got completely pissed of their portrait - it was dead on, get over it!
if you haven't seen it- do see it - the performances are great -
side note - Frances McDormand is married to the director

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
10/10
I never stopped laughing, and I watch NASCAR religously!
I am one of those people the movie is making fun of and I still loved it!
Hi. I'm Ricky Bobby. If you don't chew Big Red, then fuck you!

On The Waterfront (1954)

Really good movie. Watched it on TCM; uncut, commercial-free, in letterbox.
Attached wav file of dialog from classic scene. (The movie is not actually about boxing, btw...)

Firewall (2006):
Starring:
Harrison Ford
Paul Bettany
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firewall_%28movie%29
<-- Link contains spoilers
I thought it was pretty good.
Ford is Vice President of Security at a bank, and Bettany holds Ford's family hostage so he will help him steal money electronically from the bank.

The Lost World (1960)

OK, the reviewers on the tvguide site gave this movie 1 1/2 stars, and I'd say that's about right.

If you liked Lost World, Quadz, then The Time Machine is in the same vein. HG Wells novel about going a man journeying into the future. Not bad for a 1964 movie.
