AQ2 uses regular spawns as the spawn for team games as well as the spawn location for all of the power ups in FFA mode. I'm sure that raising the pads is related to these 2 things.

On an unrelated note, imma let you finish but Lucas Arts' Outlaws is one of the greatest games of all time. ALL TIME!

But seriously it is one of my favorite games that I've ever played. I even played it on the msn zone game lobby

. Extremely underrated and by far was the best multiplayer for any "Realism" based game. Believe it or not, one of the first cartoon shooters of all time went for "realistic" damage

Also how about we get the map SYN of the list,
players always complain there about spawnkilling,
all people do is aim at the spawnpads..

I absolutly agree. Come to mention it. I have been working on a couple of much better maps than my old ones and have been meaning to ask if you guys would removed the zthrail series and the edge like map. I don't like to be eating space on the railz server that could be allocated to better maps. I do think raingod is ok though. Although, it is going to see a revisit. My next map is soon to be released, spent alot more time and have better set up so i feel it is much better made than those early trial runs.

why was my maps removed from list? I know its votable, but I no longer see it on railz in rotation? Is this a retaliation of my maps?

I'm not sure what "a retaliation of your maps" would actually mean. But we do change the rotation occasionally. I'm sure it was nothing personal.

We have another one, dont know the name right now, VERY annoying map, its square, 4 spawnpoints, all in the corners, 2 floors, 4 lifts, totally red, should ring a bell for someone.. GET IT THE FUCK OFF

That'd be "railomatic"

It can be fun, but with more than 4-5 players it ends up being a game of who can shoot at the corners of the box fastest to spawnrape the fresh meat.

Railomatic...a Burritomaster map. A classic. Any Burrito map is a good map and should be seen and played once in awhile.

Ya some loud color and texture schemes, but fun to mix it up on server with maps that don't all play or look the same.

i agree for this map to be removed but it is not the worse map there. I think the rails server needs a whole new rotation. I posted earlier in this topic http://tastyspleen.net/quake/forums/index.php?topic=13814.0 4 or 5 of the moste complained about maps by other players, and they should be removed and replaced with better new maps. some of those maps livefornow posted look pretty sweet especially the skate one., but yeah we should sit down, go through maps and pick some cool ones to replace the shitty maps

I would suggest removing the following maps:

ven_dm4
tltf
jabs
syn <--- All that happens with these two is telefragging and spawnraping.
