Hello mister bearded admin, a clarification is needed here:  It has recently been "mildly", and it was previously "severely" for 18 months. I have always maintained this.  I have no idea where this "for no reason" thing came from. 

Server Admins are the parents in the rec-room, when there is a lack of parenting for 18+ months, it is then enabling of bad behavior, which makes the rec-room a worse place for all the kids that just want to shoot pool and have fun.

I was quoting you. Also, please post a condump if you see something that should be brought to our attention as it has been done in the past:

if he starts spamming or disrupting gameplay he'll be muted... feel free to post a condump if the occasion arises.

PLEASE record a demo or at least save a condump, and post it here.  If you can show evidence, then I can help you.

feel free to post a condump here on the forums showing an example of the objectionable behavior.  Being able to see the condump helps me locate the incident in the server logs.

just post a condump and they can be banned.

condump would be helpful.

If particular players are really causing problems, feel free to post a condump here.

As always, if someone is abusing the servers in some way (including spamming private messages) you can always post a condump of what transpired.  That is the most straightforward way to help us get the information we need in order to determine whether administrative action is warranted.

If he's really being obnoxious, maybe post a condump.

Is it too much to ask for a condump, or a demo?

I don't know you, how was it obvious? All I know about you is that you get a kick out of mildly pestering people on dm, and on your 3rd day of posting here you threaten to increase the private message spam by 100x and evade bans using a VPN.

Focalor told multiple lies, like that I whine about losing or cheating. He was also a total ass when I created a detailed bug report. Like no matter of the context, even when I'm being nice, he can treat me like total shit.

So if Focalor can lie, why cannot I?

We try to maximize fun for all alongside allowing community members to speak freely with few exceptions. Spamming private messages to players while they're trying to play annoys people. Threatening to increase this behavior hundred-fold then saying you'll use a VPN to avoid bans isn't a joke. It falls under the 'few exceptions' and is not comparable to what focalor said in the link.

Please stop the private message spam.

In general, this is what server admins and moderators do, yes.  They sift through logs. A lot.  But it should only take seconds or minutes, not days.

You have asked admins to ban 888 for "no reason"(your exact wording) many times. You aren't satisfied with the response you received, but your satisfaction isn't a prerequisite to acknowledge that is not how tastyspleen operates. Like quadz would always say please facilitate the process by posting condumps. Grepping "sugar tits" without any reference to a particular incident is a ridiculous request that will direct one to a plethora of 888 shenanigans.

Again. Not buying it. Spamming private messages to be an asshole is frowned upon around here. Always has been. Always will be.

If you start banning/muting people to cancel them, you are gonna lose half of the few players that are still hanging around.

Nah, see, if you're muted, the normal non-assholes around here simply won't be subjected to your undue harassment anymore, and you'll still be able to play. And if you decide not to play, rest assured that no one's gonna miss an asshole.

Alright, seems I have nothing to lose. I will then start this spam campaign you talk so much about. I will increase my private message spam amount from 10 to... let's say, 1000 for starters. If I get banned, maybe I'll get one of those VPN connections you talk about. Oh the joy of all of these butt hurt people.

This will get you banned. This post warrants a mute.

Huh?  I simply stated a fact about a recurring punk / troll / being banned on a server.   I never said I had an issue with providing condumps, that is a useful tool.

However, client condumps of problem players from 1.5+  years ago on any server are *hardly* available now, there is some older discussion on some forum posts however.  Unless you are Quadz or an active DM server player in 2020/2021, you wouldn't have been there with the rest of us dealing with this person all through that era on TS.

I guess I would recommend to grep the logs for "sugar tits" or "cupcake" and see how far back it goes and how often they occur.

How does that assist me? You're attempting to make a point by insinuating that the admins aren't doing their job. I'm suggesting that you post condumps and give more objective feedback. Quadz would always request this as well. It helps us assist you.

FWIW, 888's couple primary addresses and a few VPN hack addresses he uses to troll servers, are banned at seattle-ffa.   He enjoys compromising servers and I will have no part of it. 

"Feedback from the community" was extremely negative starting around 20 months ago or earlier.  No poll is needed for trolls of this nature.

Elaborate on the issue you have with me requesting players supply us with the information to assist them. Condumps of the specific incidents in which 888 is exceptionally disruptive and encouraging feedback will go a long way.

This has always been the policy of tastyspleen. I have zero private messages, condumps, demos, or strings to search for in server logs. Please supply us with the information to assist you.

Condumps are worth their weight in gold, please cite specific behavior that should be brought to our attention. 'condump 888-strikes-again' in console. Paste it here and feel free to start a poll and encourage dm regulars to vote in it so we can get feedback from the community.

I approve of the effort to just ignore 888 if it's his usual debauchery over his self acclaimed/imagined q2 prowess. If he's being bothersome beyond that feel free to post a condump of his behavior and we'll look into it.

The rating system works by selecting emojis at the bottom of an individual's post which correspond to a phrase and a point value from -2 to +2.

All accounts can use the rating system. There's some features that aren't available to brand new accounts though. I don't remember if rating posts is one of these features or not.

quadz was a big supporter of free speech and against censorship. Blocking people from aliasing as certain offensive terms isn't straying from this really. No one is going to kick you or mute you for saying something offensive without a plethora of verbal warnings. There's also a distinction between simply stating an offensive word and personally targeting someone. We'll do our best to exercise the same patience and discretion quadz did regarding stuff like this.

And since the activity on the servers is obviously diminished from what it was in years passed, it's probably prudent to take into account the feelings of others.

Indeed. Admins don't need to be too overbearing in a diminishing community either. There's a medium between censoring everything and allowing repetitive personally targeted hate speech. quadz favored free speech big time with very few exceptions, but sometimes enough was enough--and even then he'd give 2nd and sometimes 3rd chances.
