Discussion / upcoming 2v2 tournament

Like I promised I will be holding a 2v2 tourney in the near future happening shortly after NADL.

2 players v. 2 players
15 minute timelimit
maps: q2dm1, q2dm3, q2dm7, ztn2dm3, tastydm2
no timers
powerups 1 (on)

Servers:
IL, VA, NY, CA, TX, MO.. must pass NADL file check list.

Each team picks and kicks a map, the other of this determined by coin flip. The 5th map remaining will be used as the 3rd map in the set if needed.

All information/scheduling will be in this section of the forum. Please post here if your interested in participating, looking for a teammate, or already have a teammate. I want to get a feel for how many teams we'll have so I know where to cap signups off at, about. This will be happening shortly after NADL.

Trouble Shooting / mirc

2nd time this has happened: the nag screen never going away on mirc. I've tried probably 30 times, and always get 'exit' instead of 'continue'...... Last this happened it just all of the sudden went away and worked after a few days, after I had already gotten a diff. program. I can't run the other program now because my 30 day trial expired.. and mirc just started being stupid again :<

I am going to be a LOT more strict about unsportsmanlike behavior in the play-offs, guys.

I like to win too in tournament, it's fun to perform at the best of your abilities and beat people.. but there has to be some sort of standard set for this league. Some of the people who lose it and freak out--I'll give them a second chance to redo their matches yet they won't even make any effort to re-schedule! Not to mention still talking shit on the admins, blaming them for their performance.

Seriously though. Anyone can lose their temper, I can and admit it. I also regret it within an hour and either apologize or move on though because nothing is worth raging over the internet, whatever it is. but WOW, the things I see some of you guys rage over makes any temperament I've had completely rational. All I do is try to help everyone out in this league. I'm lenient as hell because I want everyone to fucking play, and I know there's some real emotional headcases signed up. PLEASE meet me half-way here, some kind of standard MUST be set being that several of you are taking my leniency for granted. It's not fair to the people who act like normal human beings that are signed up.

This is directed at no one, it's for informational purposes... It's north america's league, not pub pick-ups..  SHOW JUST A LITTLE PROFESSIONALISM or you could get a penalty, or kicked out, depending on the circumstances. Thank you for your time.

I am also disallowing ALL spectators during play-off matches. A lot of these will be shoutcasted + demos will be posted so no loss really. This way certain dumb people won't be able to private message others attempting to give outside help

said I would post this one because I had some of the same lag alpha referenced in his 'proof that AC lags' thread. I also have some good shots so, not a bad watch. Hunter played well too.

v. striker I do a lot of good things to win, despite being baited by his rail a bunch, in addition to several other unlucky instances(lol @ 15 secs in the match...)

out of the 3 times I set this up in my NADL match v. dugg (knowing that my opponent will retreat to lift, I dj from shards to to SSG to rape at lift), this one looked kinda cool.
