Hendrix was amazing for his time and no doubt influenced alot of players, but technically speaking, players have came since then that are better.

Buckethead alternate picks faster than yngwie could ever hope to sweep pick. He can also use other modes besides Harmonic Minor. And he's not a dickhead.

You're an idiot. Lunar strain is thrash, there's no debating it.. rofl.

It's always easier to erase posts to look better especially when I proved you wrong with ease.  :D

You're a fucking idiot. You can't prove anything about music. It's useless to argue about who is more metal, and it's easy to dredge up some fucking elite pagan black metal band that no one's ever heard of and be like "YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT EVILGOATKILLER? YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT METAL". Give me a fucking break, a real metalhead appreciates all things heavy.

and as for system of a down not being metal, you obviously have your head up your ass. Just because they are popular does not mean they aren't metal. Keep in mind that not all bands lose the ability to play "real" metal after they get a record deal.

So why not get your head out of your ass and have a constructive discussion?

Coroner: shut the fuck up about how you're the goddam steven hawking of the metal world. I bet I was going to Slayer shows while you were still buying nSYNC albums. You obviously go to about 2 shows a year and have no friends. Why else would you spend so much time in front of the computer talking about how much you know about metal. It's not what you know, it's what you do that counts.

The riffs I posted? I would rate them at intermediate to advanced. I'm not going to get into a pissing contest about the ultimate riff. These riffs are simply good practice for a developing player.

Actually, school never stops, you just don't go to classes anymore and most of the teaching is by self.

Goddam right. I'm learning more now, by actually having a real job. It teaches me more every day than school ever did.

Make him listen to Rust In Peace by megadeth every day and teach him how to sweep pick. That's all you need to do.  :headbang:
