In flames was awesome at Sounds of the Underground. By the time Killswitch came on stage we were all dead tired (long ass show) so we stayed outta the crowd and watched from the back right behind the sound tent. What do you know, In flames was in there watching Killswitch. We shock there hands and they gave us all a shot, that was fucking cool.

In no particular order. My top 10 I don't pick because of their musical talent (obviously), I choose them because of their appeal to me. All different kinds of metal here... I don't like one type of metal more then another really.

yeah in flames is the shit I really like KSE, they didn't make my list because I just wish all of their cd's were like the end of heartache (a good cd, and recorded REALLY REALLY good). If you're an in flames / the head of heartache kind of person then check out the cd 'the uncoming storm' by unearth, you will probably love it.

In Flames: They started out as an ok melodic death metal band. But they've sucked big time since clayman. I guess they don't care since they've been gaining more atttention as their music kept getting duller and insipid.

What's ASG? I don't know this band or can't figure out the acronym...

Nine Inch Nails? Personnaly I think calling them metal is pushiing it...industrial or industrial rock I would say.

Alice in chains? While I'm not extremely familiar with all their music, the music I heard from them had a lot more similarity with the grunge movement then metal. Maybe on some of other albums they were closer, I can't be sure.

Poison the well, that's an horrible emo hardcore band.

While Chimaira can be considered metal, I couldn't believe anyone would put the band in a favorite list. I had the displeasure to see them live once. Probably one of the most boring band I had to see.

I think Dahang's list is funny as even while messing around he came close to many lists already posted. It's a Q2 message board though so can't expect too much I guess.

Here's my list in random order. Most of you probably won't know more then a band or two...

Black Sabbath (Great band and you gotta give credit to the innovators)
Pagan Altar (Extremely high quality material. It's amazing that this band doesn't get more attention)
Massacra (Final Holocaust and Enjoy the Violence are both amazing records)
Necrophobic (The Nocturnal silence alone is enough for them to be there.)
Immolation (Very consistant band, never really released a bad album)
Suffocation (Up to Pierced From Within they were almost untouchable. Their 2 last albums aren't nearly as good though)
Atheist (Great band, they started to get recognition for their music like 10 years after they disbanded)
Exodus (Bonded by blood!!)
Sacrifice (Probably the best Thrash metal band to come out of Canada ever)
Arghoslent (That's the way melodic death metal should sound)

Now that's a good list.
