For the Race to 120, this Saturday 17th, at 8pm EST.

Players will spawn with 5 nades in inventory. There will be more nades around the map that in the 1on1s.

Map will be voted from the 6maps of the Mappool:

Wow this sucks. Spent the day with my grandmother who is getting surgery today, forgot all about the 1v1

I should be able to make the 120 though. Let's have another one sometime, so that I can actually play lol

Just a thought - I really think the server should be set to infinite grenades. I found that I spawned a few times yesterday (with no nades) and went to more than 3 locations until I got some (5). And since I couldn't use the blaster, I was basically defenceless. This may be a problem in the FFA match. Compare it to a rail server. Do you spawn with nothing, then go look for slugs? Its a one-weapon tourney. Why look for ammo?

I changed it last night so you spawn with 5 grenades.

There's quite a bit of ammo on the map.

It's true we could set +ia ... or we could increase the number of grenades you spawn with.

I figured +ia might be less interesting... dunno?

If you spawn with 10 that should be cool. Part of the 1 vs 1 strategy I found, much to my chagrin, was for the opponent to go collecting nades while on the run, and keep as much away from the opponent as possible. But 10 should last. You'll be blowed up before you can use them all.

Hi Recycled,

This is the FFa vs tdm theme again. The weapon-stay vs the items-collecting. I thought it was just great how you had to collect your nades. It is less spammy and allows someone to try and control the map (although I don't think it really is possible in 1on1 nade 'no health') It leans more into the tdm definitely. I had the impression that people enjoyed it. Thanks for your input though, if we run a second one, I will run a vote for these settings!
