Which engines would those be? Only one I can think of is Beserker, but wasn't he an author of Q2E?

No, he wasn't. He's a russian guy who stole our code before until we caught him out. Now hes done it again but this time stole the media too.

Ah ok. For some reason I had always thought he was a q2e member.

How can you steal GPL'd code though? Just not giving you guys credit I guess?

Then again, he's got every function inside of one giant main.cpp file, so it's a bit hard sifting through any of it.

Well its one thing to say "Hey guys, I did this, used some code from *here* and made it different".

Its another thing to pretty much ctrl-c, ctrl-v and then say "hey guys this is all my work, 1005 my own, nobody else involved."

Its even more funny because looking at the pics, some of the skins/textures are my own, and I'm not given credit anywhere on the site or the files...

Guys been warned before, but he's Russian, and over there they dont really give a fuck

There is no Q2E code in Berserker@Q2.
I tried to re-assure you many times, but you start this scandal again and again from scratch.
Irritant, please compare sources of these two engines.

After that it should immediately become clear who is a fair and who is seen as negligible liar. Who is small.

I didn't steal any crappy Q2E code. Download Bers@Q2 source code if you wanna be sure.
Bers@q2 and q2e are way too different.

odium, Bers@Q2 has many exclusive features and doesn't use render scripts, it uses different algorithms...
PS: And of course Bers@Q2 doesn't contain any Q2E media anymore.
PPS: odium envy that Russian/Ukrainian made PPL Quake2 first.

You are sucker odium! It was a bad idea to tell everyone that Berserker@Q2 code was stolen from q2e. If in 24 hours you do not provide evidence that his code is from q2e, then I demand you to bring Berserker public apologies.

I guage this argument this way. Barnes' and Berserker's bad english is cooler than odium's misspellings. Also you can read them in your head using a Russian accent. Odium, you have 24 hours to adopt a cool accent.

overdose is a fully rewrited engine, and od's gameplay not based on quake.
So, HalfLife and CS mods have a right be show at QExpo'08 also

Berserker, I wanted to ask you some questions about your engine.

Was there a reason that everything is stuffed into main.cpp? This makes it very difficult to navigate the code and located specific items.

I was looking to compare some of the ppl things you are doing with what ppl we have in the latest revisions in SVN of Alien Arena. Currently we have ppl, but it's not as accurate as I would like it in regards to light sources, and yours seems to work perfectly with them. It's just very diffcult trying to navigate through your code as it stands.
