I was born in Aurora.. Lived in Montgomery, spitting distance off of the Fox river.
Haven't been back there for a few years tho.
Property was booming then, and most of the corn on the outskirts of town had already fallen to the advance of the subdivisions of new homes.

population is 142,990 and still growing

As much as I can complain about all the taxes for Chicago, it still is one of the best cities to live in!

Chi has so much to do! I could never get bored in that city, broke, but not bored. I'm a happy distance from it in Dubuque, Iowa. Close enough to visit easy, but far enough away to easily forget the traffic nightmare that area endures.
