I, and many others, have been seriously lagging on Vanilla in the past month or so. I usually give up and go to Xatrix. It has always been fine regardless of how many players are on it.
Oh and quite a while back on vanilla I remember seeing the error "U_REMOVE: oldnum != newnum" when it got busy and choatic on maps like fact3, biggun, koth6 etc. and when there were just too many things going on in wide open areas, however it didn't lag as bad then as it does now. I don't see that error anymore so could this mean the cvar has been turned off?From r1ch.net: sv_packetentities_hack [0/1]Cut off the packet used for entity updates if it gets too large. By default, the packet will be discarded if it is too large, resulting in a "freezing" effect on the client. Enabling this will send the partial list of entites, but will cause delta errors such as U_REMOVE: oldnum != newnum on the client. Default 0.
