Extreme Lag on DM

Also experiencing this to extremes.  Doesn't seem to happen on the TDM servers though.  Only one DM and probably Vanilla too, on smaller maps usually I believe, and when lots of action is going on. 

I've also noticed that through refreshes on All Seeing Eye, that when there is lag, all players have identical ping reports briefly.  Like everybody will ping 17 or something, or 11 out of 12 players will.  Also, pings are showing lower when there is lag.  Like I ping like high 30's low 40's I believe on the TS servers.  When there is lag I get ping reports of like in the teens and 20's.  So I dunno if that helps explain it at all.

I have seen that as well punk, I lag and look at pings and we all have a 15 ping

I've noticed lately there is a lot of lag on the DM server. I cannot move at times due to it, and other players seem to just flicker around the map. I know a lot of other DM players have noticed this. Does anyone know what the cause of it is? Is it just due to so many players on the server? Someone with high bandwidth? Or what?
